Christmas in Pakistan
In Pakistan, December 25th is a public holiday. Spiritual seminars take place to help people to prepare for Christmas. Christmas is a Christian holiday that celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ. The St. Paul's Church is a place of worship in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Initially the church was established in 1908 with the help of Church of Scotland. In British era, the British troops used to come to church for Sunday prayer. In 1947 at the time of indo-Pak division, the Church was handed over to the United Presbyterian Church.
Popular modern customs of Christmas holiday include gift giving, Christmas music and caroling. Also exchange of Christmas cards, Christmas cake, church services, a special meal, and the display of various Christmas decorations. Christmas decorations including Christmas trees and Christmas lights are also essential part of it.
In addition, several closely related figures like Santa Claus are associated with bringing gifts to children during the Christmas season. For children magic shows and different fun activities are arranged to celebrate this event. On this big day most christian families arrange get together parties at homes and also visit amusement parks.
In Pakistan Christmas is celebrated religiously by a majority of Christians, as well as culturally by many non-Christians by arranging parties and exchanging gifts to their christian friends. Now Christmas festivals has also become a economic activity like Eid festivals of Muslims of Pakistan. As after Christmas new year also starts so business owners prolong these festivities by decorating their shops and giving special discounts to enhance their sale. So over all from Christmas to new year it creates a good healthy economic impact on society.

So nice the photos of Santa with the reindeers here. Must be so nice to put socks in front of the chimneys and wait for Christmas day to find out what Santa placed in our socks and open gifts placed in our Christmas tree as well. I believe that this is a beautiful family tradition and kids will surely enjoy it.
