Travelled to Three Different States within 14hours || Though Very Hectic || Knowledge found ( Original post)

This was how we first of all started the whole journey from my own residence here in Ita Alamu along Offa garage area, also known as Around Olohunda Mosque area. The plan was that we want to go for my elder brother's formal Introduction for a wedding preparations. Here in West Africa, most especially in Nigeria we value our traditions and to us the Yoruba tribe we believe we have to go for a total approval of both parties before going into a marriage Union. How?

How Do Both Parents Agree To Approve A wedding Preparations

Like I said earlier, the African tribe is very stronger than any one of us can ever imagine, so you can not use your bear hands to wipe away some Norms which must be followed accordingly. When a man is ripe for a marriage, he must be ready to face some challenges to come, I mean he should be able to make things better and right for his own family. So he must Prepare his own family and come to the bride to be Family as well to come first of all as one time visitor and after the first visit ,there will be a second visit again , the second visit will bring out the letter from the bride's family to be, that is only on one condition if they accept that third daughter should marry the man. This will bring out the letter which is called ENGAGEMENT LIST so funny right ? Yes it's engagement list.

What Is Engagement List?

For those of us who do not know or maybe you know but you do not seems to know deeply what it means.

It means a broad sheet that will contain all the requirements for the marriage. It will contain the list of something like

  • Engagement Ring
  • Bible
  • Bride Dowry
  • yam
  • honey
  • Salt
  • Colanut
  • Coco nut
  • fruits
  • Drinks
  • Money for the Virgin children and co. These are all what I bought as well we. I was planning to do my wedding as well. It is a must. So after bring the listed item , you pick a date and come back again to do Engagement itself and followed by wedding , followed by reception.
On our way going to Ibadan I took some pictures of natural Vegetations.

When we left Ilorin, at exactly 7:00am today, we quickly went through a non stop link but unfortunately for us we met hold-ups and we had to stay for short time. Then we took off again. We passed through the new federal government road which link from Ilorin new federal road to Oyo state.

What I Learnt

It was very stressful journey for me because we had stop over like 3 times , and what I really Learnt is that marriage is a good thing that everyone must obey the call, but you must be ready to defend your spouse at any time, in terms of kind or cash.
