6 hours of sleep was all I got. I woke up just fine for breakfast. FYI, I never wake up in time for free breakfast. But with BabyBoo, I’ve always been able to drag my ass out of the bed and go to eat.

The breakfast in Holiday Inn Express never disappoints. We eat a lot and when I get back to the hotel room, I almost threw up. I didn’t have any hang over or anything of that sort. I might have overeaten.

For some reason, when I got back to the hotel room, I felt sleepy. So BabyBoo had to wait for me to wake up at 2PM before we went out exploring.

Sorry BabyBoo.

We got into a Tuk Tuk to head to Chutuchuk Weekend Market. We started off eating once again. Milk tea, chicken satay and something else I forgot.

Soon, it began to rain cats and dogs and the whole place was flooding. Luckily we didn’t follow the Tuk Tuk driver’s recommendation of going to a floating market instead. It was going to cost us 200 baht extra and at the market, it was going to be another 1500 each.

NO WAY!!!

There were a lot of stuff we wanted to get, but we were already short on cash and we couldn’t afford to spend any more money.

A little after 4PM, we made our way back to the hotel on a Tuk Tuk that was 100 baht cheaper than the ride there.

We added 200 baht so that we can go to the church instead of heading back to the hotel.

This church is magnificent. It is a cathedral that probably cost a fortune to build. I can come to this church to pray every day if I had the chance. The air was fresh as morning and the atmosphere was just plain soothing to the soul.

There, we donated all our cash and that was it. We were broke.

After church, we were going to IconSIAM where the Apple Store was. We saw a Tuk Tuk and the man wanted to give us a ride at 300 baht. We saw a bank to try and withdraw cash. But we failed to get any cash out.

We told the Tuk Tuk man that we can’t afford it.

We walked for a few minutes and he drove to us asking whether we needed a ride to the bank to withdraw cash. I declined.

He kept insisting. So I gave in and took the Tuk Tuk anyway.

On the way, we went through little deserted alleys and I was worried what I just got ourselves into.

We could be in for a really rough experience if this turned south.

Thankfully, I got my cash from a money changer and arrived IconSIAM safe and sound.

Maseratis and Rolls Royce cars are sold here. That’s why the Tuk Tuk man was insisting that we go to other places to eat.

There was a fair that night, so food was as affordable as what we get outside. Not to say cheaper than the 200 baht TOM YAM noodles I bought the first day earlier.

We got a decent plate of chicken rice for just 60 baht.

That’s why this place is the most visited city in the world. The City of Angels. Bangkok.

I got BabyBoo a Naraya handbag that was purple in colour with a ribbon in the same colour stuck to the front. It was also the last one, meaning… I had good taste. Others were still full of stock.

That night, we took Grab home and met this Muslim Thai. He spoke Malay much to our surprise. We asked him where we should go.

He said COCO. We were like what?

Bar. Girls.

OOOKAY. NO THANK YOU.

After that it got really silent. We got to our hotel and it seemed like the ride was the longest ever.

We got McDonald’s Fried Chicken to eat, went back to our room and called it a night.

I am happy that the trip was coming to an end. NOT.

I wanted to stay. The milk is great. Internet access was cheap at RM25 for unlimited Internet access for 5 days. The people are nice.

The next day we would have leave. Still… we have the whole day to explore.

Next day: Paragon Siam
