#AlphabetHunt letter S

avatar

Hello, today I would like to join the #AlphabetHunt letter S, created by @Barbara-orenya and @Melinda10100! :)

Star fruit Smoothie

20200906_124318.jpg

A star fruit is a type of fruit, a star fruit grows on a tree. I don't really know how to grow a star fruit tree but I do know that they taste good! Hehe. :)

Step ladder

20200909_073356.jpg

A step ladder is a cute, small ladder that I use once in a while, haha. They are like ladders, but smaller. If you can not reach the top shelf of the pantry, you can use a step ladder instead of a large one. :)

Smarties

20200909_074946.jpg

Smarties are a type of candy. There are Skittles, M and M's and there are also Smarties.

Shimmer and Shine

20200917_102928.jpg

Shimmer and Shine is a cartoon I grew up with. I have a pair of nightclothes that has a picture of Shimmer and Shine on it. :)

Shamrock

20200905_143133.jpg

A shamrock is a plant that is known for luck, usually, the lucky shamrocks have 4 leaves on them, but the shamrocks I found, did not have 4 leaves on them, or is there one? Can you see it?

Sketching Snoopy

20200917_105255.jpg

Snoopy, is a cartoon character my mama grew up with. So my mama drew a picture of him. :)

What do you think of these S words? I hope you enjoyed them and enjoy the rest of your day! :)

Thank you Qwerrie! I am glad you like them, at first, when I figured out #AlphabetHunt letter S was coming, I had sooooo many ideas for S words. I made a list and S words were just covering both sides of the whole paper haha. 😄 20200917_123125.jpg 20200917_123144.jpg

splendid! I always do think about it too (what I can came up with) and then - comes in the game of chance, luck, and my personal preferences (I can prefer one photo to another, which I consider less cool, just like that). and I always add my "planned / intentions" list, where I started the week travel, at the end of my post. It's always fun to look at possible starting points. Thank you very much! a pleasure to examine your starting points. Your mind is bright.

Yes, thank you, I also think it is pretty fun to think of words that start with these letters. There are just 26 letters in the English language, it is so fun to look for words for them! :)

agree. for your pleasure (not because I am accuratist), I may add to your list (very extensive!) at least one entry missing: Sea Food!! and also I had in my pocket Sirin - it is a bird from Russian fairy tales... I wanted to include it but simply didnt take pictures in time. this one is probably of less intrest for you?

heh. need to make a second post full of leftovers, like I did for L - those R, S, T letters simply request it! so many great stuff :)))

Yes, Seafood is a good one too! Yes, T, R, S, L, had so many words to choose from, only letter Q was a little hard, other than that, there are so many words I can come up with on this challenge. :)

mmm... about Q: one one hand yes, but on other hand no. Roman languages inherited A LOAD of Q stuff from Latin language :)))

Oh, I did not know that. Isn't this challenge only for the English language? I don't speak Roman or Latin.

Latin = (dead) language of Rome, Roman republic / empire.
Roman languages == languages of the countries that developed on the parts of Roman Empire after its decay (i.e. France, Germany, Italy, Spain, England). I do not speak or read Latin too, tho 1 had half a year of it in my Uni, long ago. my Latin lessona gave me a lot, tho! very strong grammar understanding... and a solid basis that helps to learn Roman languages... so, if you do not know anthing about it yet, let me give you this memo :P it is very, very useful and maybe even a must, in the future... especially for a person like you! myself, I do not learn languages... I studied only Russian and English, thats enaf for me :P

Thank you, I only came to Italy for 1 day so.. My grammar isn't perfect in Italian, I only speak English, German, Greek and Spanish. They say Latin and Italian are similar to Spanish, so maybe I could have the chance to learn Italian one day. Thanks for the info! :)

Isn't this challenge only for the English language?

more or less it is for English, yes. but that do not restricts you 100%. using one (universal) language we all can communicate in, just gives it a good basis, so that all of us could have fun. thats my point of view on it.

@barbara-orenya, what will you say on this?

Oh, ok. Some other languages have different letters than the English ones.

I totally agree with this. could not say it better myself! there were (are) a few hiveans whose post I enjoy each time very, very much... you are one of them. the attitude, and 'thinking out of the box', does matter.

You selected great S words. The star fruit smoothie looks delicious.

Nice bunch of shamrocks. You might be thinking of a four leaf clover. A shamrock has only three leaves.

Now nice of your mother to sketch Snoopy.

All and all a successful hunt.

Thank you very much! Are the shamrocks with 4 leaves not called shamrocks? My mama likes Snoopy, me as well!

I love Smarties and I have had a very long look over the Shamrock, but I couldn't find one with four leaves 😉

This list you showed @qwerrie is very impressive. I wished you could provide such lists for the X, the Y and the Z for the ones who are too lazy to search themselves ... such as for me 🤣

After a great hunt you are presenting us very good words, @jadeaca, you have done very well again this week 🤗

Thank you Johannpiber! You can eat some Smarties to pass the time to find a four leaved Shamrock, haha. I usually make a list every time an #AlphabetHunt comes, it's really cool! :)

I think I will have to eat all Smarties and still will not have found a four leaved shamrock ☘️ 😉
I just go through my photo archive and if I cannot find 6 photos I begin to think 😁

You got me at Smarties! 😋😋😋😋😋😋😋

You win- well as far as I'm concerned you do! 🤣

Is the step ladder used to reach the Smarties when you've been naughty and eaten too many and have had to out them up high (cause I know that what I have to do before!🤣)

All my favorite items are in your "S" alphabet letter. I recently learned about Smarties. They are like our M&M in the U.S. or the jelly beans. Lovely list.

Thank you Justclickindiva! I learned about Smarties just a couple weeks ago, at a 3 year old boys birthday party. They taste really good as well. 😃
