Life Gallery | Review - Gameplay: Chapter 1 (ENG - ES)

¡Hola, criaturas de la oscuridad! Hoy les voy a hablar de Life Gallery, un juego llenos de puzzles, terror psicológico, muchísimo arte, y una historia que cada vez se vuelve más y más retorcida. Lo pueden descargar en Google Play y en la App Store, y comenzar a jugarlo, aunque si no son amantes del terror y suspenso, no se los recomiendo.

La historia gira entorno a una familia mal funcional: dos gemelos, uno con un solo ojo y otro con un solo brazo, el padre y la madre. Mientras se va avanzando en la historia, uno se da cuenta de que los padres prefieren al hijo con un solo brazo que al que tiene un solo ojo.

Hello, creatures of darkness! Today I'm going to share with you a little bit about Life Gallery, a game full of puzzles, psychological terror, a lot of art, and a story that is getting more and more twisted. You can download it in Google Play and in the App Store, and start playing it, although if you aren't terror and suspense lovers, I don't recommend it.

The story turns around a malfunctioning family: two twins, one with only one eye and the other with only one arm, the father and the mother. As the story progresses, one realizes that the parents prefer the one-armed son to the one-eyed one.

Al algún momento nos vamos a encontrar con el Fish-Head Cult, el Culto Cabeza de Pescado. Un Culto lleno de secretos, con un destino incierto para la familia, en especial para el niño con un solo ojo. Si les parece raro que exista un culto de cabezas de pescados, prepárense para ver y hacer cosas muy raras.

At some point we're going to meet the Fish-Head Cult. A Cult full of secrets, with an uncertain destiny for the family, especially for the child with one eye. If you find it strange that a Fish-Head Cult exists, get ready to see and do very strange things.

La parte de los puzzles en el juego es que tenemos que interactuar con cada etapa de cada capítulo para poder avanzar y seguir continuando. Cada etapa, así como cada capítulo tiene un título y una leyenda que nos va contando poco a poco el desarrollo de la historia.

Vamos a tener que mover objetos, triturar, atrapar, jugar con opciones para poder lograr tener el resultado que nos piden, además de tener que practicar el ensayo y error muchas veces porque hay cosas que necesitan ser hechas en cierto orden, porque si te equivocas tienes que volver a comenzar desde cero.

The puzzle part of the game is that we have to interact with each stage of each chapter in order to move forward and keep going. Each stage, as well as each chapter has a title and a legend that tells us slowly the development of the story.

We are going to have to move objects, crush, catch, play with options to be able to have the result that they ask us, besides having to practice trial and error many times because there are things that need to be done in a certain order, because if you make a mistake you have to start over from scratch.

Life Gallery fue nominado para varios varios premios indie en en el Casual Connect 2019. Llevándose el premio al mejor juego para niños y familias, nominado además a las categorías para el juego más innovador, mejor narrativa de un juego, y mejor juego para móvil. También tiene el premio especial de Google Play: Bahamut ACG Award.

Life Gallery was nominated for several indie awards at the Casual Connect 2019. He won the Best Game for Children and Families award, and was also nominated for the categories of Most Innovative Game, Best Game Narrative, and Best Mobile Game. It also has the special Google Play award: Bahamut ACG Award.

El juego cuenta con Cuatro Capítulos, cada uno con sus etapas, y hoy les traigo el gameplay del primer capítulo. Tienen que estar listos para escucharme gritar, decir que tengo miedo muchas veces, y alabar la maestría con la que está hecho el juego. Además, el ambiente musical es maravilloso y te hace sentir un suspenso que te hace no querer seguir jugando pero te obliga a seguir haciéndolo.

Este primer capítulo comienza contándonos el origen de los gemelos, y del favoritismo de sus padres por el niño con una sola mano. La cantidad de sentimientos que están representados en el juego son increíbles, y no solo la cantidad, si no que de verdad muestran la soledad, el abandono, el miedo, la culpa y el arrepentimiento. Es de terror psicológico el juego, pero va mucho más allá.

The game has Four Chapters, each with its stages, and today I bring you the gameplay of the first chapter. You have to be ready to hear me scream, say I'm scared many times, and compliment the mastery with which the game is made. Also, the musical atmosphere is wonderful and makes you feel a suspense that makes you not want to keep playing but forces you to keep doing it.

This first chapter begins by telling us about the origin of the twins, and their parents' favoritism for the child with one hand. The amount of feelings that are represented in the game are incredible, and not only the amount, but they really show the loneliness, abandonment, fear, guilt and regret. The game is about psychological terror, but it goes much further.

Life Gallery, puede ser traducido o interpretado como: La Galería de una Vida o La Vida en una Galería. Cada episodio está representado por un vitral, y al hacer clic a cada vitral se descubren todas las pinturas representado las etapas que nos van contando la historia de esta peculiar familia.

Life Gallery, can be translated or interpreted as: The Gallery of a Life or Life in a Gallery. Each episode is represented by a stained glass window, and by clicking on each window you can discover all the paintings representing the stages that tell us the history of this peculiar family.

Los puzzles pueden llegar a parecer fáciles, pero no lo son, y se van a dar cuenta de eso al escucharme frustrado en los próximos gameplays.
