REFLECTION ABOUT THE FINAL SAD OF A MAN OF GOD

avatar

There are men in history who initially and for a long time in their lives have achieved feats and victories in many stages of life directed and with the vision of God but sadly times come that everything they have done falls apart simply by removing the vision of God and depart from his law.

It is the sad story of a king that I want to share with everyone so that we can reflect on how sad and hard it can be when we take away the vision of God from our lives and take a different course.

Reading to argue:

1 Samuel 28: 3-7
3 Samuel had already died, and all Israel had mourned him, and they had buried him in Ramah, his city. And Saul had cast out the charmers and soothsayers from the earth.
4 So the Philistines gathered, and came and camped at Sunem; And Saul gathered all Israel together, and camped at Gilboa.
5 And when Saul saw the Philistine camp, he was afraid, and his heart was greatly troubled.
6 And Saul inquired of the LORD; But Jehovah did not answer him, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets.
7 Then Saul said to his servants, "Find me a woman who has a spirit of divination, so that I may go to her and ask her questions. And his servants answered him, Behold, there is a woman in Endor who has a spirit of divination.

The Bible tells us about a king who had problems many problems afflicted and surrounded the life of this king. First, it was a political problem. His country was at war with an enemy nation its borders were invaded, and the enemy army in its territory also had problems. economic and it was not for less with the country at war the army that had to keep trade dislocated by the situation the fields without cultivation because the men were enrolled in the army the economy of the country was a disaster also had family problems his son-in-law David was aspirant to the throne and Saul knew that sooner or later his crown would fall from his head to be placed on David.

However Saul yearned and dreamed that his son Jonathan, whom he loved, dreamed of seeing him king. He was the first ally who aspired to David. Saul also had physical and mental problems. The burden he carried had broken his nervous system because he was depressed and was about to suffer a surmenje was semidemente.

It is not good to look for alternative solutions outside of God when you feel desperate, because when someone loses his vision of God, he can really do anything crazy

Saul had previously been a faithful man to God, he consulted everything with God, he walked with God, but one day he took his eyes off God, approving things that displeased God, especially in the family order, and everything began to change for the worse Saul was looking for God so much that he had a counselor the prophet samuel had been his counselor his spiritual guide but Samuel had already died and the king had been left alone, only with his tremendous emotional charge that which in the end everyone must learn to carry alone

What does King Saul do in this depressed state, he sought God?

The Bible tells us that Saul in that depressed state the first king of Israel is going to consult a speritist instead of seeking God's direction and seeking the advice of the word of God and the prophets at the height of the follies Saul consults a fortune teller

1 Samuel 28: 7-9
7 Then Saul said to his servants, "Find me a woman who has a spirit of divination, so that I may go to her and ask her questions. And his servants answered him, Behold, there is a woman in Endor who has a spirit of divination.
8 And Saul disguised himself, and put on other clothes, and left with two men, and they came to that woman by night; And he said: I beg you to guess me by the spirit of divination, and bring me up to whomever I tell you.
9 And the woman said to him, Behold, you know what Saul has done, how he has cut off evocators and soothsayers from the earth. Why, then, do you stumble into my life, to make me die?

Which it was the result?

The result of a man who initially walks with God and then detaches himself from him to act according to his own opinion will really have a very unfavorable result
Saul received the final not re-approval of God and a sentence of ruin and death

1 Samuel 28: 18-19
18 As you did not obey the voice of Jehovah, nor did you fulfill the ardor of his anger against Amalek, so Jehovah has done this to you today.
19 And Jehovah will deliver Israel also with you into the hands of the Philistines; and tomorrow you will be with me, you and your children; And Jehovah will also deliver the army of Israel into the hands of the Philistines.

What lessons can we draw from the story of King Saul and his final disaster?

From this teaching we learn the following:

1.- In life it is worth more how it ends than how it begins Saul began his reign under the best auspices but after forty years he rushed into disaster
2.- that obeying the word of God in everything is the best policy for kings, nations and individuals, it is impossible to build a good life violating the wise and eternal laws of God
3.- That the consultation of fortune tellers, spirit masters of the horoscope, sorcerer sorcerers ... it is a mortal error all these activities are under the condemnation of God
4.- That there is only one who can truly help us in our problems and depressions in our anguishes and sorrows, this is called Jesus Christ God made man who gave his blood for us and lives to be our saving friend and lord

¡Beware of religious syncretism mixing the holy of God with a horoscope or any kind of divination and sorcery is madness that leads to eternal death!.

Our life has more meaning and importance of how it ends than how we started because at the end of the day our lives are what count

It is important to reflect on our days since it does not matter the crisis or the size of the problem that we are going through if we always seek God's direction in our actions and in our events
We must not trample on what God has given us especially his grace to direct us through his word and which we need day by day to be able to finish the race with joy and victory

It is not good to look for alternative solutions outside of God when you feel desperate, because when someone loses his vision of God, he can really do anything crazy. I love this.

When we begin to forget the scripture and promises God had promised us from the bginning we enterd into covenant with Him, we lose sight and begin to seek for help from other things.

He that started a good work in us will surely lead us to the end. Let us not forget that. He started the work and whatever confrontations we face along the road, let us not forget that He is always by our side and will never for once leave us to die in that situation.

Thank you @ricci01 for this great message.
