2020 Australia Koala

The Australian Silver Koala coin was introduced in 2007. It followed the Silver Kookaburra 17 years after as the second major silver coin from the Perth Mint.

Koalas are one of the many marsupial species members that call the Australian continent home, but is the only extant member of its specific family alive today.

This is the 14th year of issue for the Australian Silver Koala coins.

On the reverse of 2020 Australian Silver Koala Coins is a depiction of the famed marsupial climbing the branch of a tree.

The obverse of 2020 Australian Silver Koala Coins includes the right-profile portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.

There's so many things they can engrave into coins. Add that with year and country, each year produces too many different coins. It seems like it would be easy to lose track.

What animal is represented in the upper right corner of your 2020 Australian coins? It looks like something I would expect from a Chinese or Japanese coin.

The good thing is each country produces a specific bullion coin for the most part. American Silver Eagle, Britannia, Maple Leaf, Krugerrand, Panda. Libertad, Philharmonic, Noah's Ark... all represent the countries.
But Perth Mint... they had the Kookaburra in 1990, and then 2007 they did the Koala, and then recently they did the Kangaroo. These three are the bullion coins of Australia. The rest are special edition series.

Yes indeed, Perth Mint makes some of the highest quality coins!
Aren't you glad the mints all over the world produce bullion coins for regular guys like us to buy. It gives us the chance to accumulate wealth in the form of silver and gold, a little at a time.

The Perth Mint usually have their coins already in capsules. So no, I didn't have to buy capsules for these. The coins and rounds other than the American Silver Eagles I put in capsules for additional protection.

The Perth Mint always puts out a consistently high quality product each year. Keep in mind the the Royal Australian Mint is a separate entity form the Perth Mint.
I love the change in your photography, the map is a great background to the coin(s) enhancing your post.

Always, with love 🤗 🌺 💖

There are so many coins and rounds around.
Any will be good, for as long as they are silver.
The Koala gives you a continuing series with differing designs every year.
I think it is good to have!

Thanks for showing off the Australian Silver Koala Coins !! I love that you give a steady supply of these wonderful investments!!

What ever got you started on it? I would be interested to know!

Well, I really should write about it, huh?
In January 2014, I discovered the stacking community on YouTube. I was deeply I debt and not fully aware of it. I lucked out because the channels I got hooked on emphasized being debt-free! I believed the guys... I started to pay down all my revolving debts, and after a year and a half of paying my debt, I bought my first ounce of silver, which was October 2015. By December 2015 having paid all by revolving debt, I have been buying them since.

Wow! That is such an inspirational story and I am not making light of it! I think that you should have an expanded version of that because so many people have been where you were. He must be highly influential if it moved you that way! Thank you so much for sharing that.

Yes, ... actually four of them.. SilverFish. SilverBeanCounter. CullSiver, and SilverSlacker.
I guess you can say that they formed me to be the stacker that I am today, And they were very influential to me.
Thank you, @dswigle for asking me about it.
