Obyte data is stored and ordered using a directed acyclic graph (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Directed_acyclic_graph) (DAG) rather than blockchain. This allows all users to secure each other's data by referencing earlier data units created by other users and also removes scalability limits common for blockchains, such as block size issue.

The consensus algorithm used to protect from double-spends is based on establishing a total order within the DAG. This is achieved by selecting a chain, called the main chain, which gravitates towards units issued by commonly recognized reputable users — witnesses. Contribution Specifications

• Translation Overview

The Obyte project was stopped at 75% for more than a year, or maybe it was finished at some point but then some strings were added to it since the very name of the software has changed from Byteball to Obyte.

• Languages

I translated the texts from English to Arabic, my native language. This is my first contribution to this project. My previous experience in English-to-Arabic translation consists of Finishing the Consul project on Crowdin with the Davinci Team and volunteering for NGOs or friends, so this is the first time I do it professionally.

• Word Count

In this contribution, I translated 583 words, 33 of which are either duplicate or static. That makes a final count of 550 translated words.

The Arabic translation's progress is now 100%. It was 75% When I started working on it.
