Nutritional Screenings and next steps!

Two nutritional screenings have already been carried out in two different places in the central region of the country. We had planned to attend 3 communities as a project but realistically we do not currently have a macro resource that allows us to make a food support to macro communities today. This is why we have decided to focus only on 2 communities and attend to them in as many as possible which in turn allows us to focus on other activities such as food to people on the street and medicine to people in hospitals or situations of need.

We also offered a photographic and audiovisual tour of what was our first nutritional approach in the two communities attended. For us, this was a very pleasant activity in which we were able to bond much more with the community and we hope to continue working with them in the future.

Food for life is coming!

With these 2 nutritional screening activities we are just a few steps away from starting our Food for Life program with a new 2 month support scheme to specific communities, in which we will be working with 2 communities to provide the necessary support to enable young people and adults to increase their weight based on a better diet, also remembering that most of these people are vulnerable families with few resources and it is our duty to support them.

Once we have completed our third review and made the necessary reports, we will proceed to open the campaign through @fundition and invite everyone to collaborate.

Bringing food aid to the streets

This week the resources allowed us to serve the community of Las Brisas located in the state of Miranda where we served 10 families to whom we delivered food combos. In this community the need is great and we plan to attend them in the future with more activities.

¡Despistajes nutricionales y siguientes pasos!

Ya se han realizado dos exámenes nutricionales en dos lugares diferentes de la región central del país. Habíamos planeado asistir a 3 comunidades como un proyecto, pero siendo realistas, actualmente no tenemos un recurso macro que nos permita hacer un apoyo alimentario a las macro comunidades de hoy. Por eso hemos decidido centrarnos sólo en 2 comunidades y atenderlas en el mayor número posible, lo que a su vez nos permite centrarnos en otras actividades como la alimentación de la gente en la calle y la medicina de las personas en los hospitales o en situaciones de necesidad.

También ofrecimos un recorrido fotográfico y audiovisual de lo que fue nuestro primer enfoque nutricional en las dos comunidades atendidas. Para nosotros fue una actividad muy agradable en la que pudimos vincularnos mucho más con la comunidad y esperamos seguir trabajando con ellos en el futuro.

¡Food for life está llegando!

Con estas 2 actividades de detección nutricional estamos a pocos pasos de iniciar nuestro programa "Alimentos para la Vida" con un nuevo esquema de apoyo de 2 meses a comunidades específicas, en el cual estaremos trabajando con 2 comunidades para proporcionar el apoyo necesario para que jóvenes y adultos puedan aumentar de peso en base a una mejor alimentación, recordando también que la mayoría de estas personas son familias vulnerables con pocos recursos y que es nuestro deber apoyarlos.

Una vez que hayamos completado nuestra tercera revisión y realizado los informes necesarios, procederemos a abrir la campaña a través de @fundition e invitaremos a todos a colaborar.

Esta semana los recursos nos permitieron atender a la comunidad de Las Brisas ubicada en el estado Miranda en donde atendimos a 10 familias a las cuales les hicimos entrega de combos alimenticios. En esta comunidad la necesidad es bastante grande por lo cual planeamos atenderles a futuro con más actividades.
