Walking around Biel
The second largest city in the Canton of Berne, located at the foot of the Jura directly on the banks of Lake Biel, is bilingual and one of the most beautiful areas in Switzerland! Since the 19th century, the watchmaking industry has played a major economic role.
The old town with its cobblestones and many alleys is a perfect place for a stroll.
This beautiful baroque fountain on this square in the middle of the old town, involving Justitia sclupture with blindfolded eyes makes a great figure.
About 5 minutes away the beautiful lake of Biel is waiting of us.
Whether on a boat trip, on foot, by bicycle around the lake, or simply in summer relaxed at one of the many beaches Biel is an attractive place.
