Wednesday Walk around Tissington, Derbyshire, UK

I've not visited Tissington Village before I've only been on the Tissington Cycle Trail. So, after a break in the rain I went for a mooch around this lovely little village in Derbyshire, UK for my #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay.

There's a beautiful 17th century Jacobean mansion house there which is a Grade II listed building and commonly known as Tissington Hall.

St Marys Church, dates back to Norman times and here lies the grave of Frank Richard Allsop who drowned in the sinking of the Titanic in 1912.

There is a village duck pond. Unfortunately, with all the rain they've had to sand bag it.

The villagers obviously have a sense of humour! I enjoyed my saunter around a lovely little village with lots of history.
