Deep dream.jpg
After my trip and photos from last week, I did not move my
Car for the entire weekend.
Sunday, I began feeling ill, I did not get out of bed all day
Monday nor Tuesday. After calling the Dr's, they wanted me
To go to "Urgent Care" I didn't feel like it, but went out to
My car, and it was completely dead, absolutely no fire when
I turned the key.
This morning, I got a jump and went to AutoZone.
Wednesday 12-18-19.JPG
Several hours later, after many phone calls and emails with
Dr's, I decided at the last minute I needed to get outta here,
So I decided to make a run to the Salvation Army Store.
Not that close any more, and it was not the most advantageous
Time of day for the trip, but...I needed a couple of lamps, some
Sort of artwork for my wall, and chairs for my new table.
I also needed a larger, better piece of furniture for my folded
Clothes.
I saw a lot of stuff. I wanted this hall table, but not for the price

I thought hard about these stools, but I don't want to sit on
Barstools while I eat, nor my guests, if I ever have any
DSC_0003.JPG
I saw this painting on the wall, I stood and looked at it for a
While. Nicely done, very well framed. Priced at $29.99...

I'd just paid the same thing for the robot painting, so I went on.

One lady posed for me

DSC_0007.JPG
I was getting ready to snap the shot of the store, but stopped
as she began to walk across the frame.
She thought she'd Offended; I explained that many people do not want
to be Caught in random photos, so she gave me a big smile and
Said go ahead!
I browsed, but it was late in the day on Wednesday, when there
Is a 25% Discount on everything but bedding, so all the good
Stuff was gone, what was left didn't interest me
DSC_0008.JPG
I spotted a good quality, well built highboy chest, more than
I wanted to pay for it, but I got it and have three days to
Figure out how I'm getting it back here.
DSC_0010.JPG
Then, across the room, I saw two women looking at my
Painting, they were stroking it and talking about it, so

I went and bought it

Between $150+ for the battery this morning, $90 total at
The Salvation Army store (after discounts) this was an
Expensive day.

my Combo Post for Wed Dec 18, 2019

all images are original and were taken by me with my NIKON D5600
Except the one screen grab.
Addendum, I figured out what killed my battery.
In the process of unloading my stuff on Saturday, I had
somehow tapped the on Switch for the dome light.
It ran from Sat until this morning, I didn't see that it was on until
I got home with the new battery.

thanks for sharing your expensive day with us! I like to visit such places myself too. that hall table is absolutely amazing! yes, a bit more then I could pay for it too... but on another hand 44$ it is almost for free, for such a noble wooden stuff and a noble breed...

ok, see you!

I really almost wish I had gotten that table. I have a mirror on the wall just inside my front door with nothing under it, but crap piling up on the floor.
I've been in this apartment since the end of Sept, and I've had one illness after another since then, preventing me from "moving onward".
Most people wouldn't let this hold them back, but my life has drastically changed in many ways in the last 10 months. I am still reeling, but this too shall pass and I will persevere

@jerrytsuseer

I am all for combining where you can. I frequently combine tags in my posts also. If it fits, there is nothing wrong with that. If you drop your link on my post, it has a great chance of not being missed. That is the only thing people forget to do when they post early. If they forget, it sometimes gets missed or lost in the shuffle.

Anyway, Salvation Army tends to have a lot of high-end furniture, especially between Christmas and New Year, when people tend to buy more new things and need to donate the old (relative term, it's usually in excellent shape
or falling apart, never in between!)

I really liked the painting and I 'm glad you went back to get it. I liked the hall table and with 25% off, it would have only been $34 - or was it not discounted. Anywho, it was already and expensive day, to be sure! Maybe next time!

Thank you for joining #MarketFriday! I missed upvoting it, but, will drop you an extra tip because of that. Christmas took me away from it! :)

#MarketFriday loves you~

Resteemed and !tip .20

My problem is often getting my new/old prize home. Me and one store employee did manage to get the painting into the back of my KIA, but it was tight, kept hitting my head on it, and I was scared to death I'd tear it.
I had to pay someone to bring my the highboy chest I bought, so my $89 chest went to $130 just like that.
We do what we have to to get what we want.
