#Wednesday Walk: The Oso on Dec.22,21
Hello Friends, and Welcome Back!
πππ
Wishing You a Very Blessed and Safe
(Mid-Week) Wednesday!
I decided to try the #wednesdaywalk topic out, since it is Wednesday, and I walk a lot!
Actually it keeps Me in shape, and the proof isβ¦
I have only driven 2300 miles since June 1st!
So I was thinking about this #wednesdaywalk topic and thought I would do some pics from around the neighborhood - but I decided to go to the north side of the island instead!
More interesting terrain..
Here is a picture of the bridge that leads to here - Flour Bluff TX. and to Padre Island as well. Not much walking there...
As you can see, there is a "15 MPH Speed Limit" painted on the road. Also the poles, this is because people at night forget the road makes a sharp "U" turn under the bridge. A few motorcyclists have landed in the water, after hitting bridge supports.
If You look down the "beach" to the right you can see the neighborhoods.
If you look to the left there is this thin strip of land that extends out into the bay area.
And yes indeed someone has driven out there to fish no doubt. A "very" popular place for that, and one of the beauties of TX. "you can drive on the beach"!
If you believe your vehicle can make it! π
Yep, although in many places they buy Jeeps, and other off road vehicles and drive around town, "Here you get to use them"!
Well that was all for My #wednesdaywalk this week!
Have a Safe and Blessed Rest of Your Week!

Nice to have you join the Wednesday walk

Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk :), I truly enjoy exploring the world virtually each Wednesday seeing walks from all around the globe and feeling I am there and experiencing it all myself, such as I did in your post just now :)
Thank You!

I had seen a few post on this topic, and voted on a few and decided to go ahead and give it a shot!
Thank You for the very warm Welcome - much Appreciated!
I did not know who originated this, but now I do! I will be sure to mention that next week!
Also,
Funny story...
I am originally (a few places ago...) from NJ - directly across from NYC. And Yep...
You can own 'em, but can't use 'em!
"No Beach Driving"!
That is why I mentioned that because I remembered that from there!
Have an Awesome Evening and "Thanks Again"!
ππΌπππΌ
Glad you found it, you don't need to mention me, its all about the walks around the world and not about me ;)
Well I am from NZ originally but worked in NYC for almost two years up until I retired in June 2020, and for a couple of years I lived in New Jersey, so I know what you mean
you to have a good evening
Funny!
I grew up in NJ / NY...
Ended up in Europe by 17 - and stayed there until 38..
Then TX till now.. I also recently retired and am most likely returning to NJ in the Spring...
I hope it is not like it is in TV..
If You do not wish Me to mention You that's fine,
And still..
"Thanks"!
Happy Holiday to You and Yours!
No if you want to mention me thatβs fine but donβt feel obliged to
So it seems weβre both well travelled
Cheers
I was once in NJ and heard they drive crazy there.
Yeah, and S L O W!
I live in TX (currently) once my sister came to visit,
The highway was like NASCAR in comparison to her!
π ππ
Sounds like a California highway.
Maybe, never been to Cali, but might make it!
Houston you will see pickups, dragging a trailer
full of lawn tractors and mowers weaving at
70mph! It was a little bit of a shock at first,
Though I have driven in the Autobahn A10,
Stuttgart at 160mph in a Nissan Twin Turbo Z!
Scary!
Like a whole new world. That's fast.
Yep!
Here on the highway, 70 is probably a little slow!
