I've been fighting a Motorola Moto E5 Plus for days | (I ask for help indirectly)

These days I have been very busy with a problem I have with a phone that I was asked to fix last week. It's been quite a problem to do it.

At first they brought me the phone with a problem: Google lock. This happens when you hard-reset the phone outside the OS, if your phone is an Android and has had a previously linked Google account, the device will ask you to log in to the account so you can use it, if you don't have the account, your device becomes completely unusable.

It looks like this:

I don't know why this phone is locked, but it's not my problem and I don't investigate it either. I just do my job without asking.

It was really easy to perform FRP on that device, nothing that a few simple internet guides, some files and a computer can't do. Actually this was the simple part, I didn't have any complications, the problem that has been eating my head for days is the following: The phone has no signal.

Obviously the customer doesn't want a phone without a signal since he can't make calls or send text messages, which is basic for a phone. So, well, I thought, "How hard can it be?" Unfortunately, it's been TOO difficult, even more with the complications my laptop has given me since the hard drive (I guess one of the heads) is damaged and when trying to write heavy information on it, it starts making horrible noises, but that's another matter.

The first thing I did was to investigate why a Moto E5 Plus would have a signal failure after doing FRP, I found that this problem is common among users who have done FRP to this type of phone, so the first thing I did was to enter some commands via ADB and Fastboot.

The process was supposed to be simple (at least as seen in the videos), but after entering the commands and rebooting the phone, something happened that I didn't expect: The fucking phone still had no signal. WhileI write this I don't have the phone near me, but I remember when I did all that and the phone was still out of signal, I took some pictures and asked a friend for help

Sin servicio means no signal

If you have a good eye, yes, the phone's screen is somewhat defective, but it's just the display, so the phone is fully functional.

So, after trying the same method about 10 times and not getting any results, I decided to try something else and keep investigating. My other idea was: "Maybe the SIM tray is damaged", so I uncovered the phone and proceeded to check the tray.

This was the little process I went through:

I didn't really take any more pictures because I didn't think to make a post about this, but, to summarize what happened: It made me a little mad to see that the tray wasn't bad, which means that the problem is in the software of the device, but I couldn't find out what the fuck it is.

The last thing I will try is to re-install the phone's ROM, but this has become quite complicated because as I mentioned before, my hard drive is damaged, I had no problems while downloading the ROM of the specific model of the phone (xt1924-4), but when I tried to decompress the .rar file to use it, the hard drive starts to agonize from the pain and stops working.

Right now I'm going to try to re-install the phone's firmware, if this doesn't work, I'll give up. If you're a pro at this and have any idea why the phone is signal-resistant, I'd really appreciate your help. But, if you're just a regular reader, don't worry, at least you can see how desperate it can be to work with phones :)

Jean.
