My Minetest experience on Neoxian Server

Good day guys, I am really excited to write and share with you guys my journey and experience so far on minetest game on Mr. Neoxian's server. This game is just similar to that of Minecraft game. Minetest is a simple, peaceful game that follows a similar playing strategy just like that of Minecraft. He can play using a computer and it even supports a mobile version (Android OS). It is not operating on iOS devices for now.

Minetest is a sandbox video game that is open-source and free and focuses on the use of voxel graphics. The minetest game was written using C++ programming language and also employs the use of the Irrlicht Engine as well. The Minetest platform grants users permission to create their own mods and games by providing an API that gives them access to them. It basically grants users the ability to explore in a blocky world with approximately 31 000 blocks per direction in which a player uses.

Before I forget, we should know that this game is online gaming, where users play online with friends on the same server. Actually, I got to know of this game after I joined Mr. Neoxian's Discord server. I knew about Minecraft game, but I haven't tried it before when I joined the discord channel of Mr. Neo when I was introduced to minetest, I was adapting little by little, and now I can say that I am fully in love with the game. I nearly gave up at the beginning when I was introduced to this game, but with consistency and as a gamer, we don't just give up on a game just at the start, I later developed an interest in the game.

In minetest gaming, it is basically about looking at and extracting raw materials and then using them to craft tools and items that are necessary for your use. These items or tools would help you in creating and building structures and buildings. Also, players can fight each other and also fight computer-controlled mobs that seem to attack the player like monsters, in the game.

This game is developed as a first-person game but the player also has the choice to change to a third-person playing option. As we continue exploring the world in the game, it adds new areas onto the map of the user. Minetest game provides a creative mode and also an enable damage mode and this helps players how to use items and also interact with the world of mintest.

The Damage mode indicates whether players take damages from other players or any environmental factors whilst the creative mode provides infinite resources to players. As stated earlier, it is a multiplayer mode where a user can select to be a host on a server or choose to play as a single-player. One can also choose to play with dozens of players on a server.

My Personal Experience playing the Game (Minetest) on Mr. Neoxian's Server

It was my first time playing a Minecraft-like game, and I must admit to the fact that I found it difficult at the start of the game. The support and help of @rosecane who is one of the mods on the server guided me with all patience and I started to understand and cooperate with the gameplay. Day in and day out as I tried my hands with the game, I started to get how things are done, including crafting items, collecting raw materials, putting up structures, digging, etc.

I was trying out my way as to how I can get myself a house on the minetest server until there was a giveaway from @rosecane dashing a newbie with a fully-built house for completing a task on the server. The task includes; having a pickaxe, a sword of any type, having 2 pieces of fruit or meat, and then being aware of Mr. D's house. When the giveaway started, I did my best to get all these and then was the first person to submit them to Mr. D's house where I emerged as the winner.

I was then guided to the house by @rosecane and he showed me how to do some basics including putting protection boxes, labeling my house, and also creating a metal door for my house. I did all that he taught me and then he left after which I started to build more structures and craft items in order to develop and improve the beauty of my house.

Currently, I have planted a lot of trees around my house and have also cultivated cotton and wheat crops. I have also made some decorations in my room and also crafted beds, tables and chairs, chest boxes, dust bins, and many more to make things easier and also beautify my room.

As time goes on, Mr. D used to update more features (mods) in the game which makes it more interesting to play. Several mods like enchantment table, mesecons, battle arena field, etc were added and this really made the game really enjoyable. Today as I write, the arena is being used for some of Mr. D's giveaways where two winners selected by the bot enter into the battle Arenna to fight for Mr. D's 100% upvote.

Hehehe, this is an interesting one guys, I can remember the first time I was paired with @b0s and I won by beating him 2: 0 at a go. Subsequently, I lost to @pravesh who won me by 2:1 and the last time I was selected again was against @b0s he won me by 2: 0 due to network laggings on my side.

There have been several battles fought in that arena, and at the start it was @xabi that was the Champion until @Pravesh emerged from nowhere and started winning battles here and there and even conquering our champion @xabi. I used to watch the battles even when I am not selected to fight, it is fascinating, and I love watching them fight.

Also, many giveaways are done on the minetest server of Mr. D including a book giveaway where a player hides a book and asks other players to search and find it for a prize. Other giveaways too include where Mr. D asks for an item and the first person to provide that wins his 100% upvote and the likes. My experience on the platform is really a great one, and I am just two months old on the server but I must admit to the fact there are a lot of funs and interesting kinds of stuff ongoing there.
