Hello everyone and welcome to the Battle Weekly Challenge. This week the challenge is with Spirit Hoarder, a legendary Neutral element card with the Triage ability that belongs to the Chaos Legion edition.

In this particular battle we are facing a level 2 Tarsa summoner. A level 2 summoner is very good since it allows the use of common cards at level 3, rare cards at level 2, epic cards at level 2 and legendary cards at level 1. Therefore, the opponent was able to use higher level cards than me. Nevertheless, let's see the rules, the team and the details of the battle.

Battle Rules

This is a 39 mana battle with the "Standard" rule. All elements except Earth are allowed.

My Lineup

Some time ago, Daria Dragonscale nearly lost her twin brother Delwyn to the Burn that had stricken so many of the scaled. She would have lost him completely, but at his deathbed she hired the services of a dark sorcerer who transferred his soul into a special Heliosoulstone. While he was suspended inside the stone, Daria traveled to the Earth Splinter, where she visited the Flesh Golems in the root of the Elder Tree. With their help, she created a new Golem from fleshy scraps. Delwyn’s soul was transferred into the new Golem, and Daria had her brother back… forever.

Delwyn Dragonscale: I really like this summoner as it gives +1 magic attack to all friendly magic attack monsters and the possibility to combine our cards with other Splinters as it is a dragon Summoner.

Djinn Oshannus: Djinn Oshannus is an amazing magic attack card that can be used as a tank due to its high Speed and HP. In addition, its "Void" ability reduces damage from Magic attacks.

Void Dragon: This card is very fast and has high HP. Its "Flying" and "Void" abilities allow it to be resistant against melee, ranged and magic attacks. It is a very complete card for only 5 mana.

Serpentine Mystic: This card has a chance of applying Affliction on the target causing it to be unable to be healed.

Spirit Hoarder: Spirit Hoarder is very useful as it heals the friendly back-line monster that has taken the most damage thanks to its "Triage" ability.

Venari Wavesmith: This card gives +2 armor to all friendly monsters. I think it is very useful since none of our monsters have armor. Armor will allow us to resist more attacks from enemy monsters with melee and ranged attacks.

Nerissa Tridawn Another amazing Magic attack card with a nice combination of Magic and HP. Even if its mana cost is high, it's a perfect card for high mana battles.

Did your strategy work?

Yes. I think my strategy worked well. We have been able to successfully counter the opponent's strategy and win the battle. So I am happy with the result and the strategy I used. We have earned +9 rating points, +1056 reward points and +0.12 SPS for this victory in the Bronze league.

Do you like Spirit Hoarder?

Yes! I like Spirit Hoarder. Personally it is a card that I use a lot. Does magic damage is very important to avoid opponent's heavily armored monsters. Monsters with magic attack may do damage from any row, since this form of attack ignores the defender’s Armor STAT (damage is applied directly to health). Unless there is a monster with Phase on the enemy's team, magic attack will always hit. There is no miss chance.

One of the things I like most about this card is that it is Neutral. Being a Neutral card allows us to use it with different summoners and strategies, which is very powerful. I like to use this card with a summoner that increases magic damage by +1 such as Delwyn Dragonscale, Alric Stormbringer or Obsidian.
