Croquette Potato with Filling Sauteed Tempeh

Hello everyone!
As usual, this week I entry in Plantbased Weekly Challenged by @justinparke and decided to cooked some food with ingredients from potatoes. I'm going to make potato croquettes with filling sauteed tempeh.

Croquette potatoes are the most delicious if filled with oncom. Oncom is one type of food from the Regions of Java, especially the (Sundanese) which is a fermented food from a meal out. Oncom is derived from the materials leftover food in sports back. Usually oncom material produced from the rest of the manufacture of tofu or soy that's been in squeeze, then given a mold or yeast to fermented more.

However, in my area is very difficult to get oncom, I think it is hard to make it from know because it is derived from soy. For that check out the recipe here!


Potato Croquettes With Sauteed Tempeh Filling

Ingredients:

  • 500 gr of Potatoes
  • 1 pcs tempeh
  • Leeks
  • 5 cloves Shallot
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • The Onion
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Soy sauce
  • Water
  • Oil for fry

How to make potato croquettes with sauteed tempeh filling.

Croquettes:

  • Washing clean and Steamed 500 gr of potatoes for 20 minutes or until soft. Peel the potatoes and mash lightly until totally soft

  • Give me the salt and pepper. Correction taste


Sauteed tempeh filling:

  • Wash all materials (shallot, onion, leeks, and onion) then cut finely and set aside.

  • Mash of tempeh (still textured)

  • Heat a little oil, then add the garlic and onion first. Stir fry

  • After that enter leek, tempeh, and onion, stirring slowly

  • Salt and pepper to taste, correction of taste.

  • Then enter a little water, and wait for it to dry.
  • The filling is ready to use.

  • Grab a handful of the mashed potato, then flatten. After that fill with sauteed tempeh.

  • Shape and Coated with bread crumb.

  • Heat the oil in a wok pan with medium heat.
  • Fry the croquettes until golden brown.

  • Potato croquettes with Sauteed Tempeh are ready to be served!

I love croquettes, but I must say these look so much more flavorful than European or Japanese style ones. I love the presentation, and they look perfectly fried, goldenly delicious.
