Defeating an Archmage Arius

This is my entry post for the Social Media Challenge organized by splinterlands.

This is the sentences form splinterlands' post. So I want to share this awesome battle with my friends.

Archmage Arius

Archmage Arius is a Dragon summoner from Promo Edition. This legendary summoner is very powerful. It can increase all kind of attack damage for his monsters. This is really awesome.

I will not win this summoner in normal battle and the monsters he choose from is also very strong. It is very formiadable but I am lucky that there is a Hercule's heel in this battle. This weakpoint occurs because of the rule [Heavy Hitters]. So I can slay his first position monster very quickly. Even though his monster speed increased because of the Enrage, it has to patiently wait until the attack of Spirit Shaman arrived. One of his attack skipped and died miserably.

Rule Set:

• Heavy Hitters - All Monsters have the Knock Out ability.
• Even Stevens - Only Monsters with even Mana costs may be used in battles.
  

VENARI KNIFER

VENARI KNIFER is one of my favourite monster. It has [Thorns] and {Backfire] ability. It is good against melee attackers and also ranged attackers. VENARI KNIFER is weak against magical monsters. VENARI KNIFER should be in first position.

Prismatic Energy

Prismatic Energy is a very good monster to counter magical attackers. It has [Void] and [Magic Reflect] abilities. I predicted my opponent will use magical attackers. So I put it in second position. First position is to ward off physical attackers and second postion is to handle magical attackers.

Spirit Shaman

Spirit Shaman has [Divine Shield] and [Stun] abilities. This monster is most important in this battle. So I put it in third position. It can also take one mkore damage because of it [Divine Shield] ability.

QUEEN MYCELIA

Fourth position is for QUEEN MYCELIA. She has [Protect] and [Amplify] abilities. This is the abilities I need most. My opponent is stonger than me I need to counter attack my opponents. QUEEN MYCELIA can amplify the damage from [Thorns], [Backfire] and [Magic Reflect]. So She is very suitable for my team because I already choose VENARI KNIFER and Prismatic Energy in my team.

Wood Nymph

I decided to add a monster with [Tank Heal] ability. So fifth position is for Wood Nymph.

Spirit Miner

Now the only thing I am short coming is [Speed] so I chose Spirit Miner. Spirit Miner also has [Dodge] ability and 6 point of [HJealth] so final position is the most suitable for him.

Battle History

My opponent has very powerful summoner and very formidable Tank. He also has high damage attackers so I need to get rid of his first position monster as fast as possible. If I can not do that I will become a sitting duck.

Kraken got stunned because of Spirit Miner so it has to bear heavey damage from my monsters. VENARI KNIFER died combine attacks of Rulers of the Sea and Medusa. Kraken's has to wait until the Spirit Miner's attack enen though his Speed is higher than Spirit Miner.

The battle finished very quickly. After his Tank falls his defence collapsed completely. Sometimes Speed does matters. I think my opponent did not expect this outcome.

The battle finished at tie beginning of Round 4. Kraken has a lot of [Health] but did not have [Void] ability so ti becomes a dead meat. Stun can feel you regret.
