PORTRAITS ON THE LICHEN - COVERED BRANCHES

avatar

Photographs in this post were taken more than a decade ago, during the summer of 2009. You can see some insects and a couple of reptiles in these shots. I used the Canon EOS 350D camera, the 100 mm macro lens, and the Macro Ring Lite flash back then. The animals were found and photographed on the lichen-covered branches of some trees in the seaside areas near my hometown.

the picture of the grasshopper looks very clear in detail, that's the most important thing in macro shooting..

Wow! Very sharp and nice photos! You had a nice lens to capture all the details! Hope these insects are still around and so do the lizard.

Man, these are amazing! I love all these "portraits" but the reptile ones are my favorites because reptiles have always fascinated me and you really captured their beauty in an epic way :) Top notch post. Here is some extra support for your great work.

Not just that. They have their own expression, character and personality. Look at this picture of this handsome iguana that I captured in Mexico. It´s like a human dwelling in a dragon´s body :) I love this picture. It´s actually my desktop background image :)

Hi @borjan ,10 years ago , technology has advanced a lot , however the photographs are great , you can see the details of the animals , the ones you take today , that is 10 years later , are somewhat different in relation to the effects , and more when you make the gifs, but they are definitely all magnificent
