Final de la cuarta temporada de Chess Brothers

Han pasado 10 semanas desde que se dio inicio a la cuarta temporada. Han sido 10 torneos sumamente intensos sobre el tablero digital. Podemos afirmar que más que una competencia, la Liga Chess Brothers se ha vuelto una hermandad deportiva en la que los ajedrecistas comparten sus conocimientos y placer por el deporte en ciencia, produciendo partidas entretenidas y de calidad.

Gracias a todos por acompañarnos en la cuarta edición, la cual llevó como lema Juega ajedrez y mantente en forma, una frase que resume perfectamente los ideales de nuestro proyecto, que son la práctica del ajedrez y el ejercicio físico para garantizar una mejor salud y estilo de vida en las personas.

Tras haber culminado el maratón ajedrecista, es preciso destacar las actuaciones de los mejores jugadores a lo largo de estos dos meses y medio. Somos una familia, pero nuestra comunidad es también sumamente competitiva y como en todo deporte es necesario un ganador. Sin embargo, el llamado de este post va dirigido a todos los jugadores para que revisen sus partidas jugadas en esta temporada y puedan identificar los errores y plantear mejoras en su juego.

Al fin y al cabo, para aumentar el nivel es necesario hacer una autocritica de las decisiones tomadas sobre el tablero. Como comunidad esperamos seguir incrementando el nivel técnico y la fuerza de juego, pero esto será posible con superación individual de cada uno de los hivers/ajedrecistas que cada domingo nos acompaña.

Acerca de la última ronda

Ahora bien, el domingo 12 de junio se disputó la última ronda y con ello los puestos de la clasificación final fueron adjudicados. El chess brother @eniolw (milignus en Lichess) resultó victorioso en esta ronda nuevamente, mientras que la segunda posición la ocupó el jugador de Lichess ShouryaPandey, escoltando al campeón con el mismo marcador de 6 puntos. A su vez, @kreur se subió al podio con 5 puntos bien merecidos.

Algunos momentos interesantes

Veamos algunas interesantes posiciones en esta última ronda:

@rosmarly vs @pamboy27

Esta es una posición superinteresante en la que ambos bandos tienen muchísima dinámica de piezas. El rey negro, a pesar de no estar en una casilla ideal, parece que va a encontrar refugio sin ningun problema. Además, las piezas pesadas hacen una tremenda labor defensiva y también agresiva, pues apuntan peligrosamente hacia el rey enemigo. El blanco por su parte tiene una formación bastante sólida en la que todas sus piezas están en las casillas ideales. Saldo la torre de dama, que puede incorporarse con suma facilidad, no se aprecia una pieza mfuera de juego.

Las negras con suma precisión se lanzan al ataque con Txh3 y esto parce muy peligroso para el primer jugador, pero la verdad es que las negras deben conformarse con jaque perpetuo. No obstante, las negras fueron más ambiciosas y, tras un par de errores, la balanza se inclinó totalmente hacia el primer jugador, quien desarrolló una labor defensiva impecable y posteriormente remató la partida fiscalizando el material extra.

Por otra parte, en la partida entre SevinchbekUmarov vs @lighteye se presentó lo siguiente:

En un final de torres de infarto, el cual es uno de los finales más comunes y complejos en el ajedrez por la increíble cantidad de recursos que ambos bandos pueden tener a disposición, el negro se las arregló para evitar el contrajuego de las blancas por la séptima horizontal y con ello su ventaja material de peones se pudo imponer. Resulta muy instructivo darle un vistazo a este final, pues es muy común que se presenten similares formaciones en nuestras partidas, por lo que dominar la técnica es vital de cara a alcanzar la maestría.

Vemos que @eniolw se mantiene firme en la primera posición replicando su anterior resultado en la temporada pasada. En opinión de @vjap55, @eniolw parece estar en muy buena forma y sus partidas sobre el tablero demuestran la milimétrica preparación que ha tenido para mantener la medalla de oro.

Por su parte, @fcastro177 por su parte completó su mejor actuación hasta los momentos en la liga y se proclamó como el perseguidor inmediato del primer lugar, lo cual desde luego es un resultado digno de aplaudir y refleja la perseverancia que este jugador ha desempeñado durante las semanas de juego.

A su vez, @emic, un fortísimo exponente de la liga, también ascendió varios puestos en comparación con la anterior edición. Estamos convencidos que su solido juego le crea problemas a sus adversarios y esto lo ha catapultado al top 3 del cameponato.

@Rosmarly sigue acechando los primeros puestos y esta vez se ubicó a escasos puntos de los mejores tres, aunque estamos convencidos que la aguerrida jugadora, que se caracteriza por su implacable despliegue de piezas en el medio juego, continuará dando excelentes resultados en las próximas ediciones dejando bien en el alto la representación del ajedrez femenino en esta liga.

Bastante interesante este desenlace. Como se puede apreciar tuvimos ascensos sumamente notables y también varios jugadores ratificaron sus respectivas marcas. Como siempre decimos, es toda una lucha por la máxima competitividad. Solo es cuestión de tiempo para saber quien será el siguiente Chess Brother Champion, ¿Será @eniolw capaz de mantener la corona?, ¿reaparecerá @tungphong?, ¿nos sorprenderá uno de los asiduos jugadores o quizá uno nuevo? Eso lo veremos.

La mayor sorpresa

En cuanto a los premios especiales, como estaba estipulado en las condiciones, teníamos a El mejor post y La mayor sorpresa. Sin embargo, dado que nadie se postuló para la categoría de El mejor post, decidimos hacer un ajuste según el cual los fondos para ese premio se dedicarán a la piscina de premios para el top absoluto, totalizando esta el 95% de los fondos.

Pues bien, tras haber analizado todas las partidas jugadas en la temporada, nos encontramos con que el premio a la mayor sorpresa de esta edición va para...

😮 Premio a la mayor sorpresa - Chess Brothers - Temporada 4

@rodrook Por su victoria sobre KabetoDisk durante el torneo Arena 3+1 celebrado el 2022-05-08.

Parece que nuestro querido amigo @rodrook parece querer hacerse con un monopolio de este premio, pues en ediciones anteriores ha sido el digno acreedor de dicha mención, significando esto que su fuerza de juego sobrepasa el rating virtual que posee. Él recibe el 5% de la piscina de recompensas, que son 2,683 HBD y 5,651 Hive tokens.

También hacemos mención especial a quien sería el segundo ganador de este premio, @lighteye, por su su victoria sobre @vjap55 durante el torneo CBL T5S4 Arena 2+1 Bullet, celebrado el 2022-06-05. ¡Felicitaciones a ambos!

Sobre las recompensas

Al momento de redactar este post, el monedero de @playchess reúne 101,643 HP y 48,127 HBD. Este post también ha sido configurado como beneficiario para la piscina de recompensas, como se ha estado haciendo a lo largo de la temporada. Tras expirar este reporte, se procederá a totalizar los dividendos obtenidos en @playchess y finalmente se transferirán las recompensas a los respectivos ganadores. Las transferencias se harán desde la cuenta @chessbrotherspro.

Actualización 2022-07-30

Al expirar el post, se totalizaron 113,020 Hive tokens y 53,674 HBD tokens. Ya se han realizado las transferencias respectivas.

Por cierto, hablemos de noticias de ajedrez

En cuanto a las noticias internacionales, tenemos que el evento más importante del calendario de la FIDE del momento está a punto de dar inicio: La edición 44 de las olimpiadas de ajedrez. Es un evento que reúne a 189 equipos en la categoría absoluta y 162 equipos en el femenino, cada equipo representando a un país o federación. Como muchos ya han bastionado, esta olimpiada se perfila como una de las más prometedoras en términos de organización, pues el apoyo que ha recibido La India tanto a nivel institucional como de empresas privadas ha asido significativo.

Una de las curiosidades de la 44^a Olimpiada es que se premiará al equipo con el mejor estilo. Así es, la organización tiene un premio especial al equipo que luzca más cool, una iniciativa sumamente peculiar que busca promover la visibilidad de la diversidad cultural y la estética en el torneo, algo que sin duda llamará la atención de muchísimos titulares.

Sin embargo, esto nos ha puesto a pensar un poco con respecto a la posibilidad de que el uniforme que use un equipo sean tan llamativo y vigoroso que se vuelva más bien un factor de distracción, bien sea para el oponente de la partida o incluso para los mismos portadores del uniforme. Ya veremos cómo si ese es el caso y cómo el arbitraje le saldrá al paso. En futuras entradas estaremos actualizando sobre el desarrollo de la olimpiada.

Chess Brothers Season Four Finale

Ten weeks have passed since the start of the fourth season. It has been 10 extremely intense tournaments on the digital chess board. We can say that more than a competition, the Chess Brothers League has become a sporting brotherhood in which chess players share their knowledge and pleasure for the sport in science, producing entertaining and quality games.

Thank you all for joining us in the fourth edition, which had as its motto Play chess and stay fit, a phrase that perfectly sums up the ideals of our project, that is, the practice of chess and physical exercise to ensure better health and lifestyle in people.

After having completed the chess marathon, it is necessary to highlight the performances of the best players throughout these two and a half months. We are a family, but our community is also highly competitive and as in any sport, a winner is necessary. However, the call of this post is directed to all players to review their games played during this season and to identify mistakes and to propose improvements in their game.

After all, to increase the level it is necessary to make a self-criticism of the decisions taken on the chess board. As a community we hope to continue increasing the technical level and playing strength, but this will be possible with individual improvement of each of the hivers/chess players who join us every Sunday.

About the last round

On Sunday, June 12, the last round was played and with it the final standings were awarded. The chess brother @eniolw (milignus on Lichess) was victorious in this round again. In second position Lichess player ShouryaPandey escorted the champion with the same score of 6 points. In turn, @kreur took the podium with 5 well-deserved points.

Interesting moments

Let's look at some interesting positions in this last round:

@rosmarly vs @pamboy27

This is a super interesting position in which both sides have a lot of piece dynamics. The black king, despite not being on an ideal square, seems to be able to find shelter without any problems. In addition, the heavy pieces do a tremendous defensive and also aggressive job, as they point dangerously towards the enemy king. White, on the other hand, has a fairly solid formation in which all his pieces are on the ideal squares. Apart from the queenside rook, which can be incorporated very easily, there is not a piece out of play.

Black very accurately goes on the attack with Rxh3 and this looks very dangerous for the first player, but the truth is that Black has to be satisfied with perpetual check. However, Black was more ambitious and, after a couple of mistakes, the balance tipped entirely to the first player, who developed an impeccable defensive work and subsequently finished off the game by controlling the extra material.

SevinchbekUmarov vs @lighteye

In a heart-stopping rook endgame, which is one of the most common and complex endgames in chess because of the incredible amount of resources that both sides can have at their disposal, Black managed to avoid White's counterplay by the seventh rank and with that his material pawn advantage could be imposed. It is very instructive to take a look at this ending, as it is very common to see similar formations in our games, so dominating the technique is vital in order to achieve mastery.

We see that @eniolw remains firmly in the first position replicating his previous result last season. In @vjap55's opinion, @eniolw seems to be in very good shape and his games over the board show the meticulous preparation he has had to keep the gold medal.

For his part, @fcastro177 completed his best performance so far in the league and was proclaimed as the immediate pursuer of first place, which is certainly a result worthy of applause and reflects the perseverance that this player has played during the weeks of play.

In turn, @emic, a very strong exponent of the league, also moved up several places compared to the previous edition. We are convinced that his solid play creates problems for his opponents and this has catapulted him to the top 3 of the championship.

@Rosmarly continues to stalk the top positions and this time she was just a few points behind the top three, although we are convinced that the tough player, characterized by her relentless deployment of pieces in the middle game, will continue to give excellent results in the next editions, leaving the representation of women's chess in this league on a high note.

Quite interesting this outcome. As you can see, we had very notable promotions and also several players ratified their respective records. As we always say, it is a struggle for maximum competitiveness. It is only a matter of time to know who will be the next Chess Brother Champion, will @eniolw be able to keep the crown, will @tungphong reappear, will one of the regular players surprise us or maybe a new one? We will see.

The greatest upset

As for the special prizes, as stipulated in the terms and conditions, we had The best post and The greatest upset. However, since no one applied for the Best Post category, we decided to make an adjustment whereby the funds for that award would be dedicated to the prize pool for the absolute top, totaling 95% of the funds.

Well, after having analyzed all the games played in the season, we found that the award for the biggest surprise of this edition goes to....

😮 Greatest Upset Award - Chess Brothers - Season 4

@rodrook For his victory over KabetoDisk during the Arena 3+1 tournament held on 2022-05-08.

It seems that our dear friend @rodrook seems to want to get a monopoly on this award, as in previous editions he has been the worthy creditor of such a mention, meaning that his playing strength exceeds the virtual rating he possesses. He receives 5% of the reward pool, which is 2.683 HBD and 5.651 Hive tokens.

We also make special mention to who would be the second winner of this award, @lighteye, for his his victory over @vjap55 during the CBL T5S4 Arena 2+1 Bullet tournament held on 2022-06-05. Congratulations to both of them!

About the rewards

At the time of writing this post, the @playchess wallet collects 101.643 HP and 48.127 HBD. This post has also been set up as a beneficiary for the reward pool, as has been done throughout the season. After this report expires, we will proceed to total the dividends earned in @playchess and finally transfer the rewards to the respective winners. Transfers will be made from the account @chessbrotherspro.

As for international news, we have that the most important event of the FIDE calendar of the moment is about to start: The 44th edition of the Chess Olympiads. It is an event that gathers 189 teams in the absolute category and 162 teams in the women's category, each team representing a country or federation. As many have already predicted, this Olympiad is shaping up to be one of the most promising in terms of organization, since the support that India has received both at the institutional level and from private companies has been significant.

One of the curiosities of the 44th Olympiad is that the team with the best style will be awarded. That's right, the organization has a special prize for the team that looks the most fashionable to put it that way, a very peculiar initiative that seeks to promote the visibility of cultural diversity and aesthetics in the tournament, something that will undoubtedly attract the attention of many headlines.

However, this has got us thinking a bit about the possibility of a team's uniform being so flashy and loud that it becomes more of a distracting factor, either for the game's opponent or even for the uniform wearers themselves.
