Facing the Wizard Cpol in Goblintown [ENG/ESP]

"In the streets of Goblintown I encountered Cpol, a wizard of the enemy high command, I had already faced him three times without being able to defeat him. Having no escape I had to face him once again, the adversity of the situation led me to invoke the powerful Captain Katie who, under the command of the Empress of Dragons, managed to command my troops. It was a relentless combat, the spells of my admirable rival made me lose my calm at times, blood was spilled on the battlefield and one by one they were falling like heroes who left their lives after a fight to the death".

So begins my post, with a small but spectacular lore to start the most anticipated combat, the magician Cpol one of the most wanted in the praetorian world, under that look hides his true face, death often often comes to those who pursue him, but this time I was lucky and did not succumb to his magical arts.

Splinterlands is a game that has everything, but if you ask me, the biggest attraction apart from earning rewards is obviously being able to compete against real players and build good relationships around the game and hive ecosystem, that's something you can not do with a bot, by the way, how remarkable has been lately the issue of bots, so much so that a famous player and champion of Splinterfest left the platform because of them.

I particularly hate bots, I have said it on several occasions, there is nothing like real competitiveness, apart from the fact that there are more chances to win and when you are defeated there is not as much anger as being defeated by a superbot with level 1 cards in the silver leagues. Sometimes I wonder how necessary are bots? I definitely don't see them useful for the game, they only damage the ecosystem and harm the satisfaction of the end user, a point to always keep in mind.

Anyway, the battle I had with Cpol was super fun, very competitive really, my master card was Captain Katie, I love this gladiator, she looks like a cook but she is a beast in the battlefield, like every Gladius card she comes equipped with the precious Bloodlust ability that increases all her stats every time she kills an enemy, and on top of that she also possesses "Snipe", this ability is one of the most basic in the game, it allows ranged attack and magic cards to attack each other no matter what the position of each of them is, which is a pitched war that usually happens from the second row of each team. Aside from the functional abilities the captain has 7 life points at level two where I have her and +3 magic attack points, she's practically a sniper.

Al no tener escapatoria tuve que enfrentarlo una vez más, la adversidad de la situación me llevo a invocar a la poderosa Capitana Katie quien bajo el mando de la emperatriz de los dragones logro comandar a mis tropas. Fue un combate incesante, los hechizos de mi admirable rival me hicieron perder la calma por momentos, la sangre se derramaba en el campo de batalla y uno a uno iban cayendo como héroes que dejaban la vida luego de un combate a muerte."

Así comienza mi post, con un pequeño pero espectacular lore para dar inicio al combate más esperado, el mago Cpol uno de los más buscados en el mundo pretoriano, bajo esa mirada esconde su verdadero rostro, la muerte a menudo suele llegar a quienes lo persiguen, pero en esta oportunidad corrí con suerte y no sucumbí ante sus artes mágicas.

Splinterlands es un juego que tiene de todo, pero si me preguntan, el mayor atractivo aparte de ganar recompensas obviamente es poder competir contra jugadores reales y entablar buenas relaciones entorno al juego y ecosistema de hive, eso es algo que no puedes hacer con un bot, por cierto, que notable ha sido últimamente el tema de los bots, tanto así que un jugador famoso y campeón del Splinterfest dejo la plataforma a causa de ellos.

Particularmente detesto los bots, lo he manifestado en varias ocasiones, no hay nada como la competitividad real, aparte de que hay más posibilidades de ganar y cuando eres derrotado no hay tanta rabia que ser vencido por un superbot con cartas nivel 1 en las ligas de plata. A veces me pregunto qué tan necesario son los bots? Definitivamente no los veo útiles para el juego, solo dañan el ecosistema y perjudican la satisfacción del usuario final, un punto que siempre hay que tener presente.

En fin, la batalla que tuve con Cpol fue súper divertida, muy competitiva realmente, mi carta maestra fue Captain Katie, me encanta esta gladiadora, tiene una apariencia de cocinera pero es una fiera en el campo de batalla, como toda carta Gladius viene equipada con la preciada habilidad Bloodlust que le aumenta todos sus stats cada vez que mata un enemigo, y además de eso también posee “Snipe”, esta habilidad es de las más básicas en el juego, permite que las cartas de ataque a distancia y magia se ataquen entre sí sin importar cuál sea la posición de cada una de ellas, lo cual es una guerra campal que ocurre generalmente desde la segunda fila de cada equipo. Aparte de las funcionales habilidades que posee la capitana tiene 7 puntos de vida en el nivel dos donde la tengo y +3 puntos de ataque mágico, es prácticamente una francotiradora.

The battle against Cpol was under the rules of amplify and only common and rare cards, none of us could use legendary or epic cards, that left us with half or maybe less than half of our real strength, but it was a pretty entertaining fight. Cpol with his magic tried to emulate several of my cards, 3 in total but they couldn't against my real cards, authenticity prevailed this time. We both decided to combine the splinter dragon with life and our teams were very balanced, however the balance tipped in my favor and I think the difference was marked by two aspects, one the positions of the cards, and two my gelatinous cube, placing it in the last position kept his powerful Dust Exile busy, which prevented him from attacking other of my cards.

La batalla contra Cpol fue bajo las reglas de amplificar y solo cartas comunes y raras, ninguno de nosotros pudo utilizar cartas legendarias o épicas, eso nos dejó con media o quizás menos de la mitad de nuestra fuerza real, pero fue un combate bastante entretenido. Cpol con su magia trato de emular varias de mis cartas, 3 en total pero no pudieron contra mis cartas reales, la autenticidad prevaleció esta vez. Ambos decidimos combinar el splinter dragón con la vida y nuestros equipos estuvieron muy equilibrados, sin embargo la balanza se inclinó a mi favor y pienso que la diferencia fue marcada por dos aspectos, uno las posiciones de las cartas, y dos mi cubo gelatinoso, colocarlo en la última posición mantuvo ocupado a su poderoso Dust Exile, lo cual impidió que atacara otras de mis cartas.

Fue una batalla sumamente entretenida, además de fortalecer las relaciones entre ambos, pienso que hay ocasiones donde este tipo de combates planificados también tienen lugar, sirven como diversión y para desestresarse, así que te animo a planificar algunas batallas con tus amigos pues esta opción está disponible en el juego para ser usada, reta a quien quieras y espera un buen combate a cambio.
