December checking of the Author vs Curation rewards: What do I think I have done right?
I am starting to use Hive and Leo Finance as my record-keeping notepad as I see it as one important use case of this blockchain.
Fortunately, I have been doing so in terms of storing screenshots of my account progress. Specifically, I am interested to know how my author rewards and curation rewards are faring. More because I treat this like a game and wanted to know how to play it well. :)
Status post for October 2022:

The following is the result for the month of December 2022.

This is my in-depth analysis.
Clearly my Author rewards had increased multiple folds since October 2022. I thank my voters for that, I appreciate it!
Most interestingly, my Curation rewards also doubled in December. This is due to my powering up of Hive. No shame in that. Just letting my Hive do the work is the way.
What do I think I have done right?
- Powering up, of course.
- Finding the inner motivation to use Hive, i.e. writing posts that matters to myself, and writing often. Such as writing this post about reward analysis while insisting that reward is not what I am after! LOL! :)
- Making meaningful connections with fellow Hivers by supporting them.
- Using a dustsweeper so that the dust votes are not wasted.
- Keeping the tracking of progress going, such as this one.

Congrats on the growth! You cover a wide range of topics in your posts an they are informative. 2) is correct. I say it doesn't matter but I tend to put more time into Hive than what is justifiable in return. I think of Hive as my springboard. Hive generates ideas that are generating rewards off Blockchain.

I ought to do the dust sweeper myself. Since I spend so much time 'curating' i.e. enjoying stories here !LOLZ, I typically just don't upvote comments. I've had a plan for when I will (once HP is a bit higher) but I always feel bad. I want to just upvote everything, I have an itchy finger 😂
