This is a typical wet market, but, I understand it bothers a lot of people. While not my favorite, I like it fresh, so each of us has to decide what we can live with. If I don't have to eat farmed, I don't, but, it has become a necessity to feel so many people and make sure they get the proper nutrition. It is m

It is messy and unhygienic, but, by Western standards, my fishmarket is too. They keep a lot of the messy stuff in the back where it can't be seen, but, that doesn't make it better. :) The Health Department is all over places like that, so, they have to clean it up a little better or they shut them down.

Having said that, it is the way it is and people have lived that way forever. I don't like watching them be prepared, but, I go fishing myself, so I have done it. I grew up on the water. I do like the chicken cages, I have seen them in Vietnam also and a few other places, but, all Asian markets. I am a fan of them. I appreciate the birds-eye view, It is both interesting and truly a cultural experience. Thank you! You are the best!

You said it right. This is almost the same all over the world. And, we don't like to see our food is been processed but this is what it is.
Also, we grew up experiencing a similar kind of market and culture so I find it totally normal though the smell makes me feel sick.
It's always great to see something new from other parts of the world. Thanks for Market Friday.
