Threads Of Fate.

"Have you received the new design I sent as we discussed?" Jason typed and hit the send button after.

The message was marked delivered and Jason waited for Vivian's response.

Jason started his clothing line some years ago and creating awareness about his brand became a huge challenge until he met Vivian, the CEO of Universal Boutique.

The two met at a virtual fashion expo two years ago where Vivian couldn't resist Jason's creativity and that was the genesis of the connection.

It was just business conversation and as weeks turned into months, their communication deepened as a special connection developed between them. Jason found himself always looking forward to their phone calls or chat and he admires everything about Vivian.

Bzzz! Bzzz!! Jason's phone vibrated.

"Ma'am, good afternoon" Jason said immediately after he picked up the call.

"I thought we agreed on this ma'am thing, just stop it," She replied.

"I just love to keep it formal during business hours," Jason replied jokingly.

"I got the outfits and they were really good. Did you know it was sold out immediately when we displayed them?" Vivian said to Jason and the conversation went on for some minutes.

"Let's finish this conversation in the night," Vivian said the call ended shortly after.

"Are you home now?" Vivian texted Jason later that night.

"Yes, I am preparing dinner for myself," Jason replied.

"It's late. Why didn't you just get food from a vendor?" Vivian asked.

"You know I don't eat out. I had to pick up a few things at the market and got caught in traffic but I am almost done," Jason replied and sent pictures of his food.

The two joked about the meal before saying goodnight to each other.

Jason finished with the cooking and while eating, the thought of meeting Vivian face to face crossed his mind.

"She might now want that and it might be the other way around, we have been talking for a while now so meeting each other shouldn't be a big deal," Jason thought as he ate.

The thought of meeting Vivian occupied his mind all through the night and Jason took the bold step the next morning.

"Can we meet face to face this weekend?" Jason asked after exchanging pleasantries with Vivian.

"That would be awesome," Vivian replied and was excited. Jason couldn't contain his joy as they chose a location and agreed on time.

Jason was happy and nervous at the same time, he wondered if their physical connection would be as smooth as they did virtually.

A few days passed and the weekend came. Jason arrived at the cosy cafe first and waited patiently for Vivian who turned up in a long red gown.

"Wow! Pictures aren't doing justice to your beauty," Jason said immediately after she got to the table, he had stood to help her with the chair.

"Don't flatter me, Jason. You are not looking bad either" Vivian replied and they sat after

Jason was short of words after the pleasantries and just stared at Vivian while they waited for their drinks.

"Don't tell me you are this quiet in reality?" Vivian finally broke the silence.

"Honestly, I am terrible with physical conversation but I am trying," Jason replied.

"Oh, I see. I guess we just have to sit and just stare at each other all day," Vivian teased and their drinks finally came.

They teased each other and talked about random things until Vivian's phone rang.

"Excuse me," Vivian said to Jason and left the seat.
"That must be work," Jason stuttered as he watched Vivian walk out of the Cafe.

It didn't take long before she returned and they continued their conversation. The chat was flowing pretty well when her phone rang again and Vivian had to excuse herself.

Her phone rang a few times more and Jason had started feeling uncomfortable.

"Should we call it a day? It seems you have a lot to do," Jason said to Vivian.

"Oh, I am sorry about the calls," Vivian replied.

They continued their conversation from where they stopped but Jason didn't take his eyes off the phone after he noticed Vivian was carrying a kid on the phone wallpaper.

Jason! Vivian called his attention back to her.

"Are you married?" Jason asked.
"Married! Why did you ask??" Vivian replied.

"The girl with you on the phone," Jason replied.
"Yeah, she is my daughter but I am not married," Vivian replied.

"Wow, you never mentioned her. I am surprised,"

"I didn't think it was necessary and I am sorry about that. Her name is Feranmi, I had her at University. It's a long story though," she replied.

"I am not in haste and would love to hear everything," Jason replied.

"We can save that for another day, the calls were from her home lesson teacher. They finished earlier than I thought and might have to leave soon," Vivian replied.

"Let's go together, I would love to meet her too. Please," Jason replied.

"You don't have to,"Vivian replied.

"I insist," Jason replied to Vivian and sighed heavily.

They left the Cafe and Jason picked a few things from the eatery nearby for Feranmi. Vivian explained how Feranmi came into her life picture and it got Jason emotional.

Jason met Feranmi and it was a case of love at first sight. As time passed, they became very fond of each other and a day wouldn't pass without them speaking to each other.

Jason invited them to his place for dinner during the summer holidays and Feranmi was excited. While they were eating, he asked Vivian if she could allow him to be Feranmi's father and Vivian couldn't hold back tears.

She burst into tears and hugged Jason passionately.

"She deserves the best father in the world and that's you," Vivian replied and that was the beginning of their journey to forever.

Hmmm! Why do I have a feeling that this is a true life story?

Lolz, it's not a true life story. It's purely fiction and there are definitely men out there that wouldn't mind doing such when they are truly in love.

Wow... That's a genius creativity out there.
Well, love makes you break boundaries regardless of whatever you think you couldn't do before, when you're truly in love, you're limitless

Good entry 👍

When true love is present normal obstacles can be overcomed. Jason love for Vivian was neough for him to overlook the fact that she had a child already. Jason is a good man. True love can indeed happen when it is least expected.
