My trip to Carora, Lara State Venezuela/ Mi viaje a Carora, Estado Lara Venezuela[Eng/ESP]

This journey of the trip began at 12 at night, since he had to go to cover a news event, where he carried out a procession to the Virgin of Chinquiquira de Agrega, this procession began at 4 in the morning.

We went in a bus with my co-worker, since we were leaving from Barquisimeto to Carora, tells the story of this virgin:

An Indian named Chiquinquirá was hunting and suddenly she saw a wild pigeon. She chased it with the intention of hunting it and the bird went into a cave where the Indian woman got a strange metal tube that out of superstition she did not dare to touch. It was one of the missionaries who took out the tube and found a rolled-up canvas with the dark face of the Virgin inside, and the indigenous people gave it the name of the Indian woman who found it and began to worship her, calling her the Indian Virgin.

From there, this virgin is the patron saint of the Aregue People, a tradition of more than 400 years comes from her devotion to the Canvas where the virgin is painted. The parishioners have been meeting for 3 years since the walk where a great human river comes to appear, from the number of people. This Christian tradition that he carries in this town of Aregue is very beautiful.

After we arrived, we had to wait for the start of the procession, although I was a bit sleepy and tired, the human warmth and faith that was in that place amazed me and my tiredness and sleep were put aside.

At the start of the procession, we made a 12-kilometer journey, which is taken to her sanctuary, people ask the Virgin for her health, for her family, so that her children who are abroad return, that the situation of the country improves their economy.

After the procession we went to the nearby hotel, where we ate a delicious dinner, here I show you the dish, simple but very delicious that they prepare here.

It was a great adventure that I had, with beautiful places and landscapes.

Esta travesia del viaje inicio a la 12 de la noche, ya que debia ir a cubrir un envento de una noticias, en donde realiza una procesion a la virgen de Chinquiquira de Agregue, esta procesion se inicia a la 4 de la mañana.

Nos fuimos en una buseta con mi compañero de trabajo, ya que estabamos saliendo desde Barquisimeto hasta Carora, cuenta la historia de esta virgen:

Una india llamada Chiquinquirá andaba de cacería y de pronto vio una paloma silvestre. La persiguió con la intención de cazarla y el ave se metió en una cueva donde la india consiguió un extraño tubo de metal que por superstición no se atrevió a tocar. Fue uno de los misioneros quien sacó el tubo y en su interior halló enrollado un lienzo con el rostro moreno de la Virgen y los indígenas le dieron el nombre de la india que la encontró y comenzaron a adorarla llamándola la Virgen India.

Desde alli, esta virgen es patrona del Pueblo Aregue, viene una tradicion de mas de 400 años su devocion al Lienzo en donde se encuentra pintada la virgen. Los feligreses se reunen desde hace 3 años hace la caminata en donde llega aparecer un gran rio humano, de la cantidad de personas. Es muy hermosas esta tradicion cristiana que lleva en este pueblo de Aregue.

Luego que llegamos, tuvimos que esperar el inicio de la procesión, aunque estaba un poco con sueño y cansada, el calor humano y la fe que estaba en ese lugar me asombraba y mi cansacio y sueño quedaron aun lado.

Al iniciar la procesion hicimo un recorrido de 12 kilometros, que es lleada a su santuario, las personas piden a la vigen por su salud, por la familia, por que sus hijos que estan en el exterior retornen, que la situacion del pais mejore su economía.

Luego de la procesion fuimos al hotel cercano, en donde comimos una rica cena, aqui le muestro el platillo, sencillo pero muy delcioso que prepara aqui.

Fue una gra aventura que tuve, con hermosos lugar y paisaje.
