Hello wonderful hivers, welcome to my blog,

Its the city of neoxian first writing prompt of the year and I'm excited to be a part of it. I will be going with the prompt that says:

What was the best/worst thing that happened to you in the last year?

Hmm, 2022 started as a rough ride for me and my family, I had just had my second baby who was barely 2 months old then, and hubby's businesses were not yielding income as they use to anymore due to a bad business deal he got into, it was also at the verge of collapsing, debts upon debts were piling up, his mood also getting uglier, thinking about it now, I don't blame him much, because it was just a reaction to not meeting the needs of the family then after putting in so much efforts, time and resources, this is the business that was doing so well and even begat other branches.

My once loving and comfy home became a shadow of itself, he sold out almost everything in the house, the car included, to pay the huge debts, it was really a trying time that almost broke my home apart,

I had to step up as the main provider in the house, working tiredlessly, even though I had not recovered fully from childbirth, you know what they say "for better, for worst" That was basically a worst moment for me in the year 2022.

Moving on to the happy part, I never gave up on my home/hubby, even when he wished I would leave him since he couldn't stand the pain because the business eventually crumbled, he was so devastated, I kept on encouraging and praying for him, provided the best I could, thankfully my sewing business boomed, I had endless list of clients.

He decided to dust his certificate (he is a die hard business man) and went for further IT training, upgraded his skills and got more certification.

Luckily for us, he got his first contract towards the last quarter of the year, a big pay attached, and all the months of pain and loss got liberated, which brings this saying to a fact

"When the going gets tough, only the tough gets going."
Joseph Kennedy

Its easier writing about it now, but wasn't easy going through such experience. I'm glad the year ended better and hoping this new year brings greater tidings.

Thanks to @momogrow for this wonderful new writing prompt in the neoxian city, to be a part, you can check here

Thank you for reading❤❤

What a year your had!! You remained strong and worked as a team with your husband - "for better or worse". The perseverance paid off and like you said it must be so much easier to write than when you were going through it. This is an inspiring post.
