First logistics used in fence building, further use during war time informative. In Scotland the stone walls are moved one stone at a time at a specific spot to temporarily open for animals to move to new pastures. Stone walls always appear sturdy additional character to a region.

'Canary in the mine' situation, using rose bushes to warn farmers, Oh so clever!

Starting to learn wine tasting, one needs lifetime membership to enter any wine farm, in any region throughout the world.... each will be a unique experience.

It was kind of interesting. I didn't understand just how useful they were in creating a strategy. I found that most of the fences I was used to were covered in the video, probably because the State of Virginia had the most Civil War Battles and battlegrounds in the US, so the history is in our faces 24/7.

I grew up in New England and stone walls were our fences. I was surprised to find out that the world didn't use this method. :) I am fascinated by the stone-moving method in Scotland. They did it in New England and now, probably not anymore, probably went to the wooden/metal gate. I do prefer the old stone walls.

Do you mean you have to join a club? Or that you will be sucked in for life?? I didn't have to join anything, I was gifted the wine tasting for two and you can literally walk up without reservations now as the summer season just closed down without Labor Day on the first Monday in September! Back to school!

I find that you are right about the unique experience. It is even that way from State to State here.

Haha, yes an international wine tasting club, lifetime membership in case you land in a country where you find wine tasting tours available.

Now think of the fun that could be, not every day but available should the road or mood take you in that direction.

Loved the stone walls used in farming communities in UK when visiting there, learned a lot about the use in both stone and hedge sometimes the two together.

Enjoyed reading history on how concept was used in bygone warfare in America, some history we did not learn here.
