First Photo: 2012 version of us versus the 2022 us. 😅 We recreated the old picture - you know, for the 'gram. Haha.

Yep, we went to Negros ten years ago and after such a long time we were able to go back to our Papa's hometown! Did we all "glow up?" Lol🤣 Credits to sizzum @swaycanete for the edit of these two pictures by the way!

As you would already know our family is quite large. I have five sisters and two brothers - all of them are here in Hive (for those who do not know). Growing up in a big family has its ups and downs ~ pretty much just like any normal family, actually. As we're many I experienced not getting the toys I wanted as a kid, because if I would be given a toy then the other siblings should have as well lest we fight - the end result of which would be no toy for everyone. The sunny side of having many siblings, many sisters especially, is when I get to own their old clothes or the ones that don't fit them anymore. It's nice to be the younger one in the fam, too, because in my high school days I get presents and stuff from my elder sisters who already had jobs. Plus, I can ask money from them hehe.

Sorry for the little sentiment out there😅. So - the title! The term lámäw is a Cebuano-Visayan term to mean coconut juice mixed with milk, coconut meat, and ice (and in some variations has crushed Skyflakes biscuit). This is a popular "snack" in the province here in the Philippines, generally. When we visited last weekend our Auntie and Uncle prepared lámäw for all of us - boy was it delicious!! 😋 It was so creamy and refreshingly good!

The rest of the photos here in the post were taken from the resort where we stayed. Since I love flowers there's a lot of pictures of 'em in my camera roll haha. It was so peaceful ~ serene ~ where we stayed the second night we were there. There was no "city noise" which probably explains why it was calm. I love the simple provincial life! It's no stress and more time (time is particularly SLOOOW out there) day in and day out.
