My Family's Favorite Filipino Dish: Milkfish Soursoup (Sinigang Na Bangus )
Hello @hivefood π
How's everyone doing here? I hope you're all great and well. Today's food blog I'm gonna share to you is one of my family's favorite dish the --- MILKFISH SOUR SOUP OR SINIGANG NA BANGUS NA MAY KANGKONG

And for our dinner I included in my cooked dish today some soup that something's sour made from the natural juice from calamansi or lime
πβπ©πβπ©πβπ©
So let's begin by preparing all the ingredients like
1 kilo of milkfish (bangus) clean and cut
1/2 bunch of spinach leaves or kangkong
1 medium sized of tomato cut into wedges
1 medium sized of red onion sliced
1 pc of ginger
1 medium sized of radish
2 cups of rice water
3 PC's of kalamansi or lime (extract the juice)
Salt and pepper to taste

Washed and cut first the milkfish
and prepare all the spices and veggies by slicing it.

To begin with I always heated the pot with a water on it and placing all the spices like onion, ginger, tomato and let it boil.

And when the water boils I simply added the sliced radish into the pot and add also the bangus (cut and cleaned)

For a soury taste, I added the extracted juice of lime πβπ© πβπ©
To get the perfect taste don't forget to season it with salt and pepper and stir it slowly.

And when it boils again , placed the spinach leaves and simmer it for atleast 5 minutes.
And this is it! Once it's simmered , transfer it in a serving bowl , share with the family and enjoy eating pairing it with some rice π
This is one of my favorite Filipino dishes and when I cooked this dish I usually used fresh milkfish to have a fresh taste of soup and combined it with a natural juice from lime which made the broth more delicious..
This would be all for now and see you in my next cooking showππByeπ

Greetings @lolitaanana001, the soup looks delicious. I live in a coastal area and it's customary to prepare fish soup on weekends, to which lemon is added.
