Inesperada cena en familia (Esp/Eng)

El día de ayer, al llegar de mi trabajo, mis padres iban saliendo en ese justo momento a un compromiso que tenían, y mi padre me pregunta: ¿Qué tenia planeado hacer ese día? Yo me llené de emoción, recordé cuando estaba pequeña y que esa era la misma pregunta que me hacia cuando iba a llevarnos a comer en algún lugar; yo le respondí, que no tenia planes de ir a un lugar, y él dijo: ok, a las 7:30 las paso buscando para ir en familia a cenar.

Faltaban unas cuantas horas para que volviera, mientras tanto comencé a buscar la ropa que usaríamos mi hija y yo, en medio de eso, vino a mi mente muchos momentos únicos en familia, de años atrás y a su vez me siento afortunada, pues también mis recuerdos me llevaron al año 2016 – 2017, cuando pasamos una crisis muy grande como familia, ya que no había producción de alimentos en el país, y debíamos tostar y moler el maíz para poder hacer arepas (es el desayuno tradicional de un venezolano), y que además aunque hubiera dinero, no se conseguía ningún producto de la canasta básica, fueron unos momentos bastante duros, también la familia se comenzó a separar, pues comenzó el éxodo migratorio y las familias de Venezuela se desintegraban cada vez más.

Yesterday, when I came home from work, my parents were leaving at that very moment to an appointment they had, and my father asked me: What were you planning to do that day? I was filled with emotion, I remembered when I was little and that was the same question, he used to ask me when he was going to take us out to eat somewhere; I answered that I had no plans to go somewhere, and he said: ok, at 7:30 I'll pick them up to go to dinner as a family.

It was a few hours before he came back, meanwhile I started looking for the clothes that my daughter and I would wear, in the middle of that, came to my mind many unique moments as a family, from years ago and in turn I feel lucky, because also my memories took me to the year 2016 - 2017, when we went through a very big crisis as a family, since there was no food production in the country, and we had to toast and grind corn to be able to make arepas (it is the traditional breakfast of a Venezuelan), and even if there was money, we could not get any product of the basic food basket, they were quite hard times, also the family began to separate, because the migratory exodus began and the families of Venezuela were disintegrating more and more.

Seguí con eso en mi mente; luego llego la hora y mi padre nos buscó, mencionó que iríamos al restaurante de un amigo de él, que tiene poco de haber abierto y que además hemos escuchado muy buenos comentarios sobre la comida de allí. El restaurante se llama “Alex comida”, tienen un menú muy variado desde desayuno, almuerzo y cena. Estando en el lugar, ordenamos 2 pizzas familiares, mientras comenzamos a debatir diferentes temas, uno de estos fue de las teorías que conocíamos sobre a la extinción de los dinosaurios, pues a mi e me hace muy interesante muchas cosas de historia del mundo y su creación, y vaya salieron muchos criterios interesantes.

También tuvimos el momento de fotografiarnos en familia, para así dejar plasmado un recuerdo más, pues siento que no hay nada mejor que poder tener a tu familia junto a ti, saber que siempre podemos contar los unos con los otros y del valor que tiene la familia.

I continued with that in my mind; then the time came and my father looked for us, he mentioned that we would go to the restaurant of a friend of his, which has recently opened and we have heard very good comments about the food there. The restaurant is called "Alex comida", they have a very varied menu from breakfast, lunch and dinner. Being in the place, we ordered 2 family pizzas, while we began to discuss different topics, one of these was the theories that we knew about the extinction of the dinosaurs, because I find very interesting many things about the history of the world and its creation, and many interesting criteria came out.

We also had the time to take family pictures, to leave one more memory, because I feel that there is nothing better than having your family with you, knowing that we can always count on each other and the value of family.

Me causó risa que, al llegar las pizzas a las mesas, comenzó un gran silencio, todos degustando la pizza, que tenia mucho queso y de sabor exquisito; por cierto, nuestra comida favorita en familia es la pizza. Y al punto que quería llegar con esta publicación, es que muchas veces no valoramos lo que somos como familia, para vergüenza propia comencé a valorar mi familia luego de ser madre, cuando noté que no es el lugar, son ellos (mis padres, hermana, sobrina e hija), que no hay nada que me haga más feliz saber que puedo verlos, abrazarlos y seguir compartiendo juntos… y se muy bien que en todas las familias no son iguales pues muchas veces hay personas rotas que rompen sus propios hogares y es por eso que repito lo afortunada que soy de poder crecer siendo feliz en familia y que han pasado los años y sigo feliz junto a mi familia.

It made me laugh that when the pizzas arrived to the tables, there was a great silence, everyone was tasting the pizza, which had a lot of cheese and an exquisite flavor; by the way, our favorite food as a family is pizza. And the point I wanted to get to with this publication, is that many times we do not value what we are as a family, to my own shame I began to value my family after becoming a mother, when I noticed that it is not the place, it is them (my parents, sister, niece and daughter), that there is nothing that makes me happier to know that I can see them, hug them and continue sharing together .... and I know very well that all families are not the same because many times there are broken people who break their own homes and that is why I repeat how fortunate I am to be able to grow up being happy in a family and that the years have passed and I am still happy with my family.
