How to prepare a delicious Onion Leaves Tempered by adding spices to the village method...

Greetings dear Hivers. These days I have to manage my time well due to the extreme busyness of work. Therefore, I have to reduce the attention on some of my hobbies. So I am constantly anxious to make the rest of Sunday more productive. My wife and mother do the cooking throughout the week and I try to prepare at least one delicious dish on Sunday because I also gain knowledge and experience through it. So yesterday evening I prepared an onion leaf tempura, making a difference to the way housewives in the village prepare it for those who love vegetables. I am now preparing to introduce about it.

Ingredients

  • 250 grams of onion leaves

  • Three tablespoons of coconut oil or vegetable oil
  • Chopped tomatoes
  • Chopped green chillies
  • Chopped onions
  • Salt as needed
  • A teaspoon of mustard seeds
  • Half teaspoon of Fenugreek
  • Half a teaspoon of cumin seeds
  • A teaspoon of chili flakes
  • Half a teaspoon of turmeric powder

Preparing method

  • First, wash the onion leaves well with water and cut them into small pieces. Onion leaves can be cut into small pieces very easily and quickly.

  • *Heat a pan and add oil. When the oil is hot, add chopped onions and fry.

  • Then add mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, cumin seeds and a teaspoon of chilli flakes.

  • Then add salt to the mixture and add turmeric powder and mix well with a spoon.

  • After frying the spices including onion well, add chopped green chillies, curry leaves, pandan leaves and chopped tomatoes and fry well.

  • Now add chopped onion leaves and mix well. Do not boil onion leaves for too long. If so, the green color may decrease and the nutritional value may decrease. After one and a half minutes, it was cooked well, removed from the stove and serve to the dining table.

As far as I know, onion leaves are mostly used as a vegetable used to decorate food. But onion leaves can be used as a single food as well as to increase the taste of food. Onion leaves, which are a very healthy food, are also a good medicine for improving vision and respiratory problems. Some people add dried fish to the onion leaves to get more flavor. But using onion as a leaves vegetable can have more health benefits.
