Splinterlands REBEL #102 | Bought some more Rebellion cards at cheaper rate

What’s up my fellow Splinterlands Players!

I hope all of you have enjoyed a great Christmas event with your friends and family. I enjoyed the day while being in a picnic with my friends group and after spending an amazing memorable day with them all, now I am back into my work again. The first thing that literally gave me a feeling of joy was the SPS price today as it is flying again today and currently being traded for 0.038$ per unit. I had to sold some of my SPS recently to pay for our house loan and I still have around 131k SPS in my staked wallet and looking the current price that the amount possesses just soothes my eye. However, as I have to buy a large amount of Rebellion cards now, I may sell some more SPS in future but until it rises a but more. Rebellion cards on the other hand are not also coming down any but with their selling prices and I am pretty confused at this moment on where to rethink buying packs again and open and upgrade my overall rebel collection over time. Only around 5 days time left for this ongoing ranked season and as usual, some rebel cards have started ruling the battlefield already, especially those 2 promo rebel cards, but both of them are priced above 400$ for max levels, so they are pretty out of reach from me right now.

However, slow but steady, I have been working on my Rebelllion deck in the backyard and recently, I bought a bunch of Rebellion cards again which I am going to talk about in today’s post. So without further ado, let us begin.

SULTRY BARMAID

The newest card that I decided to buy and add to my rebel collection was the SULTRY BARMAID. Which expression would you make when a lady with a Face of a snake and a large tail at her back is serving you your favourite beer, because that is how it looks exactly. As I have been focusing in the Water summoner first, I decided to start buying the water monsters as well and this is my first addition to that group. This monster belongs to the water element and it Costs 5 mana to be used in battles. It is a common type monster that requires 400 BCX total cards to upgraded this monster into max level. It’s attack type is ranged and as the rebellion summoner Prophet Rosa gives +2 range power to any 2 monsters, using thus monster with hum can definitely bring better results while fighting in battlefield.

Anyways, When you upgrade this monster into max level or level 10, then it holds 3 ranged attack power at 4 speed with 7 health along with 2 abilities - Stun and Ambush. Because of the Stun ability, it can make the enemy card skip its next turn if applied. On the other hand, with the Ambush ability, this unit begins to act before the battle begins. So with both of these awesome abilities along with a good attack, decent speed and a large health, this monster is really worthy of the battlefield I think.

As for my purchase, I was looking for good deals on this monster and found out a level 2 (5 BCX) monster listed for 0.77$ only. So without thinking anymore, I made the purchase using monstermarket.io 3rd party website and got 3% cashback in DEC within a moment in my hive-engine wallet.

Prophet Rosa

As for my next buy, I decided to buy the Water Summoner Prophet Rosa again and then when I went to check its price at market, I found out that the price of this card has fallen from 1.49$ a BCX down to just 1.07$, now I had already started buying this card as I really liked this summoner among all other high mana special Rebel summoners out there. This summoner possesses a set of 2 abilities either +2 range attack to 2 monsters or Shield ability to one monster. This is a rare type card so in order to make it max level, you have to collect total 115 BCX of this card snd merge together.

In my previous purchase, I bought 5 BCX Rosa for total 7.7$ and today I again bought 5 BCX but for 5.316$ this time. I upgraded both of them to level 2 and listed them for rent for now so that they don't sit idle and rather earn me a a handful of DECs. I used the monstermarket.io website to buy the card as usual and this time for buying this 5 Rosa summoners, I received 126.77 DEC straight in my hive-engine after the purchase.

Brewmaster Abraxas

For my last purchase, I decided to upgrade my only other existing rebel card in collection, the Brewmaster Abraxas. It is a summoner card that holds dual element, which simply means that you can chose cards from those 2 elements in a single lineup while using this summoner. Brewmaster supports 2 elements Fire and Earth and now imagine how many new types of new strategies will come up soon as we can now use monsters from 2 different elements into a single match. However, This summoner only costs 3 mana to be used in battlefield but does not posses any buffs or debuffs, which is of course fine to me for this low mana cost.

I already bought a total of 5 BCXs of Brewmaster summoner earlier and sited it for rent but when I looked lately, I found out that it didn't get rented at all. Now, as it is a common type card, to be used at least in bronze level and to support bronze max level monster cards, It would need at least a level 3 card, which will require a total of 14 BCX cards. So I bought another 9 BCXs of this card and merged together to form a level 3 card. I used the same site mentioned above and made the purchase, where that bunch of 9 cards costed me 9.909$ and I received 94.625 DEC as my cashback.

Due to the high prices of Rebel cards, I have only been able to buy these cards only so far and there’s a long road before I can have a complete collection of Rebellion. Let’s see if I can manage some big funds to be invested in future to make at least 2 or 3 element cards at max level, which will help me to become competitive in the ranked, brawls and tournaments again. So, I will now just keep trying with small but steady purchases and see how it goes over time.

I hope you liked reading my post and also liked my purchases that I shared and talked about at above. Please let me know your favourite Rebel cards from Water element in the comments below and I will be seeing you all in my next post.

Wish you all good luck on all of your future Splinterlands matches.
