This week's monster is the Twisted Jester. A rare card in Alpha and Beta for the death splinter I know the card very well as I often look to use this monster when ever I play with death splinter. The range attack and snipe ablity on a low use of 4 mana makes the card pretty useful. A higher level Twisted Jester includes dodge ability which I recently purchased, a level 5 alpha, and have put into use. Below is one of those battles I used Twisted Juster.

The Battle

The rule set were aim true and limited to even number mana monsters. With only three splinters to choose from, death, life and earth I was deciding between life and death. Haha, pun not intended. I went with death since I could not use wind elemental in life splinter. With 46 mana being a limit it was almost as if it should have been a 99 mana match.

My Formation

I went heavy in magic monsters but included Twisted Jester at the rear for its range attack. It would have been great if I had Phantom Soldier leveled up and my summoner at minimum level 5. Since that would have strengthen Phantom while also be able to use my Twisted Jester to its fullest as at level 5 it included the dodge ability.

My Opponent's Formation

My opponent leads of with Minotaur Warlord at level 3! Follow by a mix of range, melee and magic monsters. What stood out was that most of their monsters were higher level than mine and since they had a higher level summoner the advantage of using monsters to their fullest they had the advantage. The benefits I had comparatively was that I had focus mostly on long range attack while my opponent again with a mix of different type of attacks.

The Battle Results

The match was one of the closet nail bitter I have ever had. It first started out where my opponent's Minatour Warlord was able to hold its ground while my magic monsters threw a beating on it. In later rounds we proceeded to slowly knock out one monster at a time. At the end there only stand each of our Prismatic Energy. Since my opponent's Prismatic Energy is level 5 it included abilities of magic reflect and void, which benefited by being able to neutralize my Prismatic and knock it out. I came so close but yet lack of leveling in my summoner and monsters limited my chances of winning. If you are curious of the battle you can view with this link..
