Hola, qué alegría estar aquí de nuevo, compartiendo otra experiencia de compra de frutas y verduras, una iniciativa promovida por la amiga @sirenahippie. Esta vez tocó el turno de ir al supermercado por melones. Así que les voy contando como me fue comprando esta dulce y refrescante fruta.
Investigando sobre esta fruta encuentro que hay varios tipos de melón, la verdad no sabía que existian tantos, ya que solo he probado el melón verde y el melón que tiene la pulpa de color naranja y es el más común en mi país Venezuela, de acuerdo a lo investigado se llama Cantaloupe, algo que también llamó mi atención es que hay melón macho y melon hembra, lo que hace la diferencia entre uno y otra son las formas de las líneas, si van de punta a punta son macho y si las líneas van como en circulos son hembras. Que tal ¡¡¡
El melón verde lo probé de niña, un día lo trajo mi mamá a casa, nos dijo que era un regalo y que se lo habían traído de otro país, crecí pensando que era verdad porque casi nunca lo vi jajaja y es que no se ve muy a menudo. En cambio, el melón naranja si lo comíamos a menudo en casa, sobre todo en ensaladas de frutas, batidos o merengadas.

Researching about this fruit I find that there are several types of melon, the truth is that I did not know that there were so many, since I have only tried the green melon and the melon that has orange flesh and is the most common in my country Venezuela, according to the research is called Cantaloupe, something that also caught my attention is that there are male and female melon ... How about that!
I tried green melon as a child, one day my mum brought it home, she told us it was a gift and that it had been brought from another country, I grew up thinking it was true because I hardly ever saw it hahaha and you don't see it very often. On the other hand, we ate orange melon often at home, especially in fruit salads, smoothies or meringues.
Cuando fui a comprar los melones, no lo conseguí tan rápido, esta vez fui a la sección de frutas de dos supermercados y nada que los encontraba, seguí mi camino hasta el Supermercado RIO y BINGOOOO allí estaban los melones exhibidos, algunos enteros y otros cortados por la mitad envueltos en papel Envoplast.

Una vez elegido el melón que quería llevarme, comprobé que no tenía manchas oscuras, que era firme al tacto y no tenía golpes, que desprendía un aroma agradable y como había leído sobre el género del melón, esta vez decidí fijarme en las líneas que lo rodeaban, la verdad no estaban muy definidas las líneas, pero no las tenía de un extremo a otro, lo que indicaba que era un melón hembra, que leí son los más dulces y los más comunes, por ello deben ser los más comerciales. El precio del melón por cada kilo era de $ 1,45.

Llegó la hora de ir a la caja del supermercado a pesar y pagar el melón, pesó 1,6 kilos. El valor era de 2,32 dólares que al cambio del día representó Bs.81,26 .

En casa; después de cortar el melón en trozos, siempre lo guardo en la nevera en recipientes de plástico con tapa, para poder sacarlo y servirlo de una vez o directo a la licuadora si me provoca tomarlo en jugos. A mi me gusta mucho y a mi familia también.
El melón siempre será una excelente opción si se quiere comer algo saludable y refrescante.
At home; after cutting the melon into chunks, I always keep it in the fridge in plastic containers with lids, so I can take it out and serve it at once or straight into the blender if I feel like juicing it. I like it a lot and so does my family.
Melon will always be an excellent choice if you want to eat something healthy and refreshing.

Gracias amiga @elamaria por leerme, si el precio estaba aceptable , esta vez no pude hacer comparación de precios , porque sólo los conseguí en ese automercado, ufff me costó. Estos si estaban de buen tamaño y frescos. Realmente fue una compra acertada ✌️
I like melons, the smell of melons makes me like them. but I've been busy these past few days and didn't have time to go to the market to buy melons and take part in the contest.
