I did not see that coming.
Talking about April Fool's Day, I don't really do it; in fact, I didn't even remember there's something like it. I guess this is one of the reasons I got pranked this day. Because I believe if it's something I'm really into, the prank will not get into me.
A friend of mine has always been telling me she will come to my state one day and say hi to me, unknowingly. We grew up in the same state, so I will not be surprised if she actually says she is around.
Since she has been telling me before, I just believe she has been planning this April Fool for a long time. So she called me a day before April 1st. We talked for a longer period of time, and she said she would be calling me on the first so we could continue our conversation.
While talking the day before, she made mention of the places we had been to when she was in Nigeria. She said she would like to visit those places again whenever she comes back to the country. I agreed and even told her we were definitely going to meet again.
She called on April 1st and asked me to guess what? I said, You know I'm not good at guessing; just tell me what is going on. She said she was in Nigeria. I said that's not possible. How will you be in Nigeria? and you will not tell me beforehand.
I couldn't even believe what she was saying; I said it's a lie. Unknowingly, she planned it with someone else who happens to be my friend too. I never knew it was a conference call. She just said one of my friends was with her, and the guy talked on the phone. At the moment, I don't even think straight. I asked her to tell me the truth, and she said she's in Nigeria.
Without any further thought, I started parking my loads and started thinking of traveling down to where she's at the moment. I cancelled all my plans for that day; in fact, I could remember being in the shop then.
I closed it and already plan on going home. I got to the park to board the bus going to where she is, which happens to be our state. From where I'm to her side is a journey of 3:30 minutes.
I was about to pay when she called me back and said it was a prank. I didn't even believe it was a prank until I got home to our state and couldn't even find her. I was so angry on that day because she really got me so bad. But then it is what it is. She apologized, and we settled it.

Your friend really planned this prank very well. She even had your friend to collaborate. It seems as though she is a very special friend because you seem very eager to see her and found it hard to believe that she tricked you. Good that you could settle things after the apology.
