True Stories of Neoxian

avatar

Hello all,

I thought you might enjoy these stories of mine, all 100% true.

  1. I CPU mined 150 bitcoin. Yep! That's right, three blocks of the bitcoin blockchain were mined by yours truly. They were mined by an ordinary PC computer, nothing fancy or special about it. They were mined just using the CPU, not a graphics card or asic chip.

  2. One time, someone sent me roughly 36 bitcoin by mistake...I returned them. They were sent by a high profile bitcoin user that nearly everyone here would recognize if I named him. But I won't since I don't want to dox him..or myself. Oh well.

  3. I knew a guy who had 500 bitcoin, but he stored them at MtGox and lost them all when MtGox went down. He would be a millionaire today. Don't be like this guy. Do not store your coins on an exchange.

  4. One time I found a bitcoin wallet of mine that I had forgotten about. It had 200000 usd worth of bitcoin in it. That was nice.

  5. One time I sold one physical bitcoin worth 1 BTC, fully funded, not redeemed (Casascius coin) to my grand father. I sold it to him for 10 usd. He kept the coin in his pocket and it ended up getting washed in the washer. Washing the coin could have possibly damaged the sticker with the secret code inside. Sadly, my grandfather passed away, and I do not know the fate of this coin. Today it would be worth probably at least 100000 usd or more (had it not been damaged), these are extremely rare!
Hell, even the UNFUNDED coins can be sold for 500$.
Don't worry I have plenty more of these coins, so I don't feel too bad.

Well that's it. I hope you enjoyed these short stories from a crypto Dragon.

These are mind-blowing scenarios, funding a wallet worth millions, washing off the serial and code of bitcoin that world have worth more than 90% of the prize you sold it.

One time, someone sent me roughly 36 bitcoin by mistake...I returned them.

This indicates that you are a man of integrity.

Wow, a physical Bitcoin. I thought Bitcoin was only a digital (online) currency.

I'll do some further research into it.

Keep winning in crypto, you're a wonderful leader with unique experience.

Loads of experience along the pavement of life. I got hacked recently due to some negligence from my end. It all part of the process. We live to experience life.

Wow! You mined 150 Bitcoin?? That’s crazy… I feel sorry for the guy who lost his 500 Bitcoin too.

These stories were interesting, you should do more of these. 🙂

Also, imagine how rich you must be to have forgotten about a Bitcoin wallet which has about 200000 usd worth of Bitcoin in it.. I’m speechless. 😂

Mmmmh I had a similar history in many ways, yet I had the most beautiful luck of somehow, no matter how much I was involved with cryptocurrency, to never make it out rich. I was there when BTC was at $1 and even bought a few. But it was with my mom's money, because I was a tad too young to have any of my own. $20 just isn't the same as a proper investment.

Absolutely tragic, but I suppose that would make life a little too easy for me.
Comfort isn't something I need. I've learned to enjoy the raw pain of existence.

I'm glad I knew this story earlier and I even share your story with my friends in the real world for motivation.

I like the most important part of your story which is that you still hold the major part of the 150 BTC you mined even after using a very little of it to build your dragon crypto Empire. You missed mentioning this part of the story. 🙂

I bought btc in 2012 with a shitty interface and in 2017 was the first time I try to recover them and failed. Lost in the black hole.

Wow! Amazing stories with lesson to learn from them. I felt sad for the person who lost 500 bitcoins on an exchange and I wonder how the person is coping now. Probably better than before? I hope.

Fantastic stories. They cover a wide spectrum of the crypto world: from so easily mining bitcoin, being sent bitcoins by mistake to losing bitcoins because the cardinal rule of never leave crypto on an exchange was not followed. Gosh if I had so many - it would be a no brainer to buy a hardware wallet for their safe keeping.

I know that feeling of finding a wallet long forgotten with coins in it. Mine was not thousand but hundreds but it was still a nice unexpected present.

Pity you do not know the fate of the rare Casascius coin. Maybe someone found it after it got washed and had no idea of its value.

😁I've always wondered about this and now my curiousity satisfied after reading. Brilliant!!!
😲Mining 150 Bitcoin, just amazing.
I bet your grandad must be proud to see how well you're doing now, and just maybe the washed coin would serve a purpose someday? never can tell.
Lesson learnt: Never store coins in an exchange wallet.
Bravo🔥

Wow! Thanks for sharing your stories. That is how it goes. I have lost some Bitcoin. I traded or had to spend much of what I once had. Although the investment is in my own education and now I am actively participating. You helped me understand how useful a Hive account really can be, and I appreciate all your support over the years. Never stop learning! I will help light up Neoxian City with bright lights!

In 2011, I wanted to invest $2,000 and buy a couple of hundred bitcoins. But I was scared by the strong growth and very strong fall of BTC in 2011. I bought a crypt in the region of several BTC already in 2017)
