The wife was attacking the wrong person. He is the cheater - you were the innocent party. Although she was upset - fighting the female is never the answer. Clearly the culprit was her husband as he is the person that has a commitment to her. It was a terrible date indeed but the lesson learnt is to do some vetting before goinf out with someone.
