Every time I hear about or see any move made by a religious person in furtherance of their religion I think about this test. It could be the building of a new church, a terrorist attack by a Muslim, proselytizing, a large gathering of religious folks for their religion, anything!

Once any move in furtherance or support of any religion is made, I think about this test.

An the test is simple, it is born out of the fact that no religion has been proven to be true and no gods have been proven to exist. The test is this: before you continue doing anything support of your religion, ask your god to prove itself to you.

And not just any proof like saying "show me a sign" , and then when you see a beautiful bird in the sky you claim that it was the sign, ask your god to give a tangible proof that cannot be denied or explained away.

Chose a specific thing. Like I told the last person who tried to convert me to their religion to ask their god to turn the water in my cup into wine and I'll believe they exist and had power.

The person didn't even attempt it, clearly because they know a definite sign was impossible, they clearly haven't seen anything in their lives to make them think it was possible, but they keep worshipping their god and claiming that it has powers to do miracles like these everyday.

But clearly, deep down inside their consciousness they know they wouldn't stake the slightest amount on it.

Before the person left, though, I told them that even though not for me they should do it for themselves. That they should go home and put a cup of water to the side and ask their god to prove himself by turning it into wine. Just for their own personal conviction, not for me.

I told them they could even give their god a year to do it. Leave that cup of water by the corner of the refrigerator or something and every day ask your god to do it and if he doesn't do it at the end of the year then you know he doesn't exist and all about your religion is just a myth like nonbelievers have been telling you.

I said it doesn't have to be a threat or a dare, just tell your god that you have been worshipping him for so and so number of years, and that you love him and don't necessarily doubt him, but people are saying he doesn't exist and these people have a good point because no god has ever been proven beyond reasonable doubt to exist including him, that you've been doing all these things in furtherance of your religion and you plan to even do more but just so you can be sure and continue to give your life for it you just need this proof.

Very simple test. After a year if it doesn't work dump your religion. If it works then splendid! Now you know it's true.

It doesn't always have to be water to wine, it could be anything, it could be simply "change the colour of the paint in my room from red to green", "change my small wooden chair to metal", "come hang with me let's play video games", etc. Very simple undeniable stuff for yourself.

But then again, after this he would have to prove himself to everyone you try to convert too. Just like how I asked for my own water to be turned to wine, after he turns yours and you come to me we have to turn mine too. And then I'll believe you, I'll be more serious with the religion than you've ever been!

Conclusion

This is all really simple and common sense, it makes no sense to give your life for someone without as simple as a proof the person even exists, instead you've been taking your orders from other people and books that claim to speak for the person.
