When the Chaos Legion entered the Splinterlands through the rift in Mount Praetorius and laid to ruin the great castle of the Gargoya, many of the stone gargoyles fled across the sea and scattered to other continents. However, some remained in the rubble, searching for a way to rebuild their kingdom. These became known as Scrappers.

Scrappers despise the Chaos Legion for destroying their home. Now, they seek the knowledge to create more of their kind and, using what they learn, build more Gargoya. Across the Splinterlands, they have established workstations to grow their numbers and advance their culture, creating Gargoyas of countless sizes and varieties.

Their ultimate goal is to avenge their fallen brethren, rebuild their home, and see to the defeat of the Chaos Legion.
Shiv pulled the smoldering clay from the furnace with a crooked grin. Gripping the tongs tightly, they turned to the table behind them. Multiple Gargoyan eyes looked on as Shiv maneuvered the heated clay into place. Their eyes followed the movement as it was placed onto the top of a stone creature.

The near perfectly carved stone bust of an incomplete Gargoya stood still. Whispers from the surrounding Gargoya filled the room. Shiv grabbed a dull knife, barely larger than themself and clambered to the top of a ladder next to the creature.

With great precision, Shiv carved holes for eyes, a nose, and a mouth into the newly appointed stone face of the creature. Their work had only just begun.

Su objetivo final es vengar a sus hermanos caídos, reconstruir su hogar y derrotar a la Legión del Caos.
Shiv sacó la arcilla humeante del horno con una sonrisa torcida. Agarrando las tenazas con fuerza, se volvieron hacia la mesa detrás de ellos. Múltiples ojos gargoyanos observaron mientras Shiv maniobraba la arcilla calentada en su lugar. Sus ojos siguieron el movimiento mientras se colocaba en la parte superior de una criatura de piedra.
El busto de piedra casi perfectamente tallado de una Gargoya incompleta estaba inmóvil. Los susurros de los Gargoya circundantes llenaron la habitación. Shiv agarró un cuchillo sin filo, apenas más grande que ellos y trepó a lo alto de una escalera junto a la criatura.

Lineup / Formación

Summoner / Invocador

Tyrus Paladium is the summoner chosen in this fight, mainly because of his level, being at level 6 and in the gold league, he is a great option, although his ability is not one of the best, he can be very useful with the right strategy. In this case I'm going to use it to make sure I have more shield as a barrier. Taking into account that it is a battle with limited mana, it is a point in favor that it only has 3 mana.

Tyrus Paladium es el invocador elegido en este combate, principalmente por su nivel, estando en nivel 6 y en liga oro es una gran opción aunque no su habilidad no es de las mejores puede llegar a ser muy util con la estrategia adecuada. En este caso lo voy a utilizar para asegurarme de tener más escudo como barrera. Teniendo en cuenta que es una batallla con mana limitado es un punto a favor que tenga solo 3 de mana.

Tank / Tanque

Uriel the Purifier is the tank I'm going to use for this challenge, although his biggest weakness would be the large amount of mana he requires, I'll compensate for that by using all low mana cards later. One point to take into account for the battle condition is the amount of life, it can be a double-edged sword because on the one hand it will lead my cards to have a lot of life, it will also do the same with the rival. Being at level 3 we can have the advantage of using many skills including the two most important which are healing and the ability to multiply your damage.

Uriel the Purifier es el tanque que voy a utilizar para este reto, aunque su mayor debilidad sería la gran cantidad de mana que requiere, lo voy a compensar utilizando todas cartas de bajo mana luego. Un punto a tener en cuenta por la condición de batalla es la cantidad de vida, puede ser un arma de doble filo debido a que por un lado me va a llevar a mis cartas a tener mucha vida, también va a hacer lo mismo con el rival. Estando en nivel 3 podemos tener la ventaja de utilizar muchas habilidades entre ellas las dos más importantes que son la curación y la capacidad de multiplicar su daño.

The protagonist of the challenge in this case, due to the battle conditions, becomes a great option, because it is gold foil it has the ability to resist magical damage and although its greatest weakness is the amount of life, in this case it can be balanced for the life equalizer. A great advantage it has is that it only needs 1 mana to be used, thanks to that I can place it in the team and reserve more mana for other cards and be able to complete all 6 locations.

El protagonista del reto en este caso, por las condiciones de batalla se convierte en una gran opción, por ser gold foil tiene la habilidad de resistir al daño mágico y si bien su mayor debilidad es la cantidad de vida, en este caso se puede balancear por el igualador de vida. Una gran ventaja que tiene es que solo necesita 1 mana para ser utilizado, gracias a eso puedo colocarlo en el equipo y reservar más mana para otras cartas y poder completar todas las 6 ubicaciones.

Usando las dos primeras cartas como tanques, uno físico y uno mágico ahora viene la primer carta de soporte, Stitch Leech tiene la ventaja que puede debilitar la retaguardia del contrincante y al mismo tiempo cargarse de vida, eso va a ser de gran utilidad si llega a tener que estar en la parte frontal del equipo, además tiene una gran cantidad de daño físico y es un gran balance por la cantidad de mana que necesita para ser colocada en juego

Scavo Hireling is a key piece of the team although it does not do direct damage, its objective is to be able to maintain the shields and thus prevent the opponent from eliminating my cards quickly. There are other options for shield recovery but I prefer to set up Scavo Hireling because it uses little mana plus it has the ability to not be targeted until last or first.

Scavo Hireling es una pieza clave del equipo aunque no realice daño directo, su objetivo es poder mantener los escudos y de esa manera evitar que el rival elimine mis cartas rápidamente. Hay otras opciones para recuperar escudo pero prefiero colocar a Scavo Hireling porque utiliza poco mana además tiene la habilidad de no poder ser el objetivo de ataques hasta ser el último o estar en la primera posición.

Uraeus along with Stich Leech are going to be the ones attacking the rear. The biggest difference is Uraeus's ability to poison, thanks to that he can add more damage plus he has a shield.

Uraeus junto con Stich Leech van a ser los que ataquen la retaguardia. La mayor diferencia es la capacidad de Uraeus para envenenar, gracias a eso puede sumar más daño además tiene escudo y es neutral por lo que puede ser utilizado en distinto tipo de batallas.

Finally I chose Chaos Knight because it is a card that is very useful to be in last position due to its damage reduction but usually this cannot be done because it cannot attack from that position, however under these conditions of battle that weak spot disappears and makes her a great shield especially in combination with Scavo Hireling which repairs the shield that eventually gets destroyed.

Por último elegí a Chaos Knight debido a que es una carta que es muy útil para estar en última posición debido a su reducción de daño pero por lo general esto no se puede hacer porque no puede atacar desde esa posición, sin embargo bajo estas condiciones de batalla ese punto débil desaparece y la convierte en un gran escudo sobre todo en combinación con Scavo Hireling que repara el escudo que eventualmente se destruya.

The strategy worked much better than I expected, in particular because the opponent only used melee damage cards, however I could see this from the last battles he had done. The decision to only use shields and the attack I set up was key to being able to withstand his attacks while also allowing Uriel the Purifier's ability to recharge to be able to perform high-powered attacks. I think I should change the strategy to be more resistant to magic damage by using cards that can deflect or reduce that damage and not focus all efforts on recovering health or shield. In the case of having another high-level summoner, perhaps I would go to a team focused on ranged damage with great speed to be able to eliminate the opponent quickly and resist taking advantage of the advantages that the life equalizer gives.

La estrategia funcionó mucho mejor de lo que esperaba en particular porque el rival solo utilizó cartas de daño cuerpo a cuerpo sin embargo esto lo pude ver por las últimas batallas que había realizado. La decisión de solo utilizar escudos y el taque que coloque fue clave para poder resistir sus ataques y al mismo tiempo permitir recargar la habilidad de Uriel the Purifier para poder realizar ataques de gran poder. Creo que debería cambiar la estrategia para que sea más resistente a daño mágico utilizando cartas que puedan repeler ese daño o reducirlo y no concentrar todos los esfuerzos en recuperar vida o escudo. En el caso de tener otro invocador de alto nivel quizá iría a un equipo enfocado en el daño de rango con gran velocidad para poder eliminar rápido al contrincante y resistir aprovechando las ventajas que da el igualador de vida.

Gargoya Scrapper is one of my first options when there is a life equalizer, however due to its low damage and life, if the battle conditions do not favor it, it is very likely that it will have other options. Among its advantages is the current cost that it has to be rented, it is a great alternative to take into account. Also, because it is gold foil, the cost is quickly recovered with the new bonuses.

Gargoya Scrapper es una de mis primeras opciones cuando hay igualador de vida sin embargo por su bajo daño y vida si las condiciones de batalla no lo favorecen es muy probable que tenga otras opciones. Dentro de sus ventajas el es costo actual que tiene para ser alquilado, es una gran alternativa para tener en cuenta. Además por ser gold foil el costo se recupera rápidamente con las nuevas bonificaciones.
