Do it yourself - A powerful advice from my fellow Hivean

Good day, my amiable HL community. It's been a short while since I have been away, and it looks like 3 months ago... lolz, I don't think I missed the last edition topic, but I missed engaging with many of you due to a trip I made that got me so busy... I hope to return and be active as usual in a few days!

Seeing this topic on the best words of advice given by people, I smiled because I don't need to go far to my offline friends, family, and relatives to dig into their advice to me so far. This is because, early this year, I received powerful advice from a Hivean here, a good friend who always extends a helping hand to many people I know on this platform. It was one of the pieces of advice I received at the beginning of the year when I was setting my new year goals, and indeed, I am glad to have accepted the advice, challenged myself, stretched myself further, and left my comfort zone and self-doubt for better self-growth.

You know, many people, including me, will always stay at a distance and conclude that they can't do this or that without first trying it out. Most times, we see a particular task as highly cumbersome to handle when it's actually doable with simple practice and consistency. This was my story, but @burlarj came into the picture and changed my mentality.

The advice was all about learning how to trade in Binance on my own. Because I have my cousin brother, who wouldn't even complain a bit for all the disturbances I give him about my crypto transactions, it never occurred to my mind to learn it myself. It should be the last thing to bother me, I said to myself, because whenever I need any transaction, my cousin, a Hivean here, is always there for me. Until January this year, from one discussion to another in the Neoxiancity Discord server, @burlarj advised that I should learn how to use Binance myself for any transactions. Heaven knows that I didn't process the advice until he kept disturbing my life as if they sent him to me..lolz

Burlarj didn't give me a breathing space until I got everything about Binance done right from the registration aspect. He explained to me reasons why I should learn all these myself and promised me that it wasn't cumbersome. In his words, "You can't continue to depend on people forever." What if you needed urgent money to attend to an emergency situation and your cousin is not there at the moment? and other good reasons he gave me on the importance of learning to do things we can actually do ourselves.

I took up the advice, and he volunteered to always assist me during binance transactions, at least until I am capable of doing it comfortably, and he has been doing it and helping others who were like me then. It will interest you to know that I now know how to trade without any assistance. I never believed I could do this myself any time soon. I am glad to have listened to his advice because not only did I learn using my binance, but it has also opened my eyes to more of this thing called crypto.

I have received so much useful advice on parenting, finance, relationships, etc., but I choose to share this one that happened in the hive. I so much value this advice,Burl. I have learned to stretch myself and do things I should be able to handle myself because, in the process, you will get to learn new things.

This post is in response to the #hivelearners community on the topic titled Best words of advice

It is such a motivating word.

Having someone liked that who is persistent for you to be better is a great thing.

I’m happy you eventually got it right. I think I read a post about how you finally got it.

Thanks for sharing

Indeed that is what is what a good teacher, mentor does, he doesn't stop until there is a positive result and I am happy you got to know how to make transactions on binance yourself..
