Market Pranks Are The Most Embarrassing

So I am a fool, I mean I have been a fool all along. Congratulations, you just successfully confessed that you have been a fool, lol. I am just trying to show us that in most cases, we get pranked unexpectedly, and usually without our consents.

I would regard myself to be more of a joker than a prankster, because I can effortlessly make those around me to laugh and get talking about something funny.

This was how I entered into trouble, by jokingly telling our neighbor's son to go to the market with a big basin and meet his mum, who was waiting for him to come and pack the fishes she had bought for their mini celebration.

The market where David was embarrassed

It was the 1st of April 2022, and it was a Friday afternoon, Mr Kelvin our neighbor came home smiling and excited. This was very unusual for Mr Kelvin, because he normally comes back home angry and frowning. We later got the information that he had been promoted on that day.

It was all smiles throughout the compound as we all congratulated him. At least, everybody showed that they were happy for his promotion, and so Mr Kelvin promised he would be hosting a party in the compound later that evening.

It was all joy and happiness, as we were all preparing to party later in that evening. As the evening seems to be approaching, Mrs Kelvin, the wife of Mr Kelvin went out for some shopping for the celebrations.

The compound boys were happy and ready, so we decided to play football for some minutes before the time of the celebration. Amongst us was David, the son of Mr and Mrs Kelvin.

Just while we were yet playing the ball, I had a phone call, so I went outside the gate to answer it. I spent about 20 - 30 minutes talking on phone with this person (unimportant discussions).

When I got back inside the compound, 'I jokingly told David that I was coming from the market, and that his mother had bought lot's of fishes and meats for the celebrations" I equally told him that 'his mother had requested he brings the biggest basin in their house to the market, inorder for them to park the fishes and meats home'.

I never thought he would take me seriously, but without hesitation, David left the football game, took a very big black basin and set-off for the market. I thought the matter was lit, until after about an hour later Mrs Kelvin came back with her son almost in tears.

It was Mrs Kelvin that started narrating how she meet David in the middle of the fish market with a big basin, standing like a beggar and a thief at the same time. David went there without money, and I could imagine the embarrassment he went through standing in the midst of those aggressive sellers and searching for his mother holding a big black bowl.

David was around 19 years old, and I had just successfully embarrassed him in front of everybody in the compound including his parents. His mother didn't take it lightly with me, as she insisted I must pay for damages caused.

By this time, everyone around there was laughing their lungs out at the embarrassing act of David at the fish market. At this time David's girlfriend had told him it was over between them, as she felt ashamed of her man.

David came to fight me, and most of the elderly people around were against my actions. It was as if I had committed a serious crime, but I told them it was a prank, and that I never meant it to go that bad.

In the end, David and I became best of friends, and when we remember the embarrassment he went through at the market, we would just laugh over it and plan ahead.

But I am not done with David yet, lol. Infact I am planning on pranking him in this year's April fool's day. I would call him on phone with a new number, and I would change the tone of my voice.

I would tell him that I am calling from his bank, and to convince him to believe my words, I would tell him of the day he was born as well as some other personal details I know about him.

I would tell him to come to the bank personally, or betterstill he should send some of his bank details to me to resolve his issue.

If he falls for this prank, I would not only have a great laugh, but I would not apologize to him, because I am teaching him a lesson and keeping him at alert against real scammers.
