The perfection of soup always brings blessings to the dishes served. Kikil soup with thick spiced sauce is the first kikil dish prepared in my kitchen.

Kikil is a natural processed product made from cow or buffalo leather. This thickness of cowhide is processed and cleaned to remove hair, then boiled until soft. This long process produces delicious final products for various delicious dining menu dishes. Well, what a coincidence. Yesterday when I want to the market I bought kikil, in the city which is in the same direction as where I work there is a large tax, there are all the foodstuffs available. Including gravel, a food raw material that is rarely found in my village. So playing taxes like this makes it a big shopping moment for me. The price of kikil is relatively cheaper than meat, but did you know that there are still many people who don't like cowhide so the selling price is minimal. Well, because I love gravel, just by looking at it I can think of ideas for what I will make from this raw material.

Today I want to make something new in the kitchen, I will make a soup dish from kikil. Well, usually kikil is often used in curry, but this time I want to make kikil differently, namely soup. This time I made the soup with a mixture of yellow spiced sauce. And to strengthen the taste, I added a little coconut milk to make a perfect savory soup.

Materials Used

Enough water

Softened Seasoning

3 cm turmeric
1 cm galangal

Cooking Procedure

Step 1

Chop the spice ingredients finely, then blend until smooth with a little water. So, if you want it spicy, you can add chili, because I'm fasting I don't want it spicy.

Serve the kikil soup in your bowl then feel the different sensation while enjoying the delicious soup. Kikil is really delicious, especially when cooked with a sauce like this, it's really delicious. Savory, the cream of the coconut milk really feels in the mouth, especially as the chewy texture of the kikil is very suitable for increasing the creaminess. And of course it is very suitable to be enjoyed when breaking the fast with warm white rice.

It was quite interesting to see your recipe using an ingredient that I didn't know about such as cow or buffalo leather, I am left wondering if "gravel" is the name by which this skin is known.

The cream looks quite creamy so I can tell you achieved your culinary goal.

Have a nice day:)
