Tempeh Stir-fried With Balinese Spices
Tempeh has always been one of the favorite sources of vegetable protein at home. How could it not be that tempeh is that delicious and makes me and my family like various types of processed tempeh. As a source of vegetable protein that is quite good for vegan lovers, especially in my country, many people process tempeh into dishes that are like the original recipe. Usually these dishes are made from non-vegan dishes made from animal ingredients. Which is then processed into a delicious and perfect vegan dish. Well, I will today also prepare tempeh with delicious traditional spices.
Tempeh Stir-fried Balinese Spices
Tempeh stir-fried with Balinese spices is processed tempeh with a stir-fried dish that is combined with Balinese spices. Even though it doesn't match the original recipe, here I want to adjust the composition to what I want.
Materials Used
3 lime leaves
2 bay leaves
1 stalk of lemongrass
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp sweet soy sauce
1 tomato
Ground Spices
2 cloves of garlic
Cooking Procedure
Cut the tempeh into triangles or according to your taste.
Then cut it thinly, well here I like thinner tempeh, if you like it thick, you can adjust it to your taste.
Fry tempeh until golden brown in hot oil over medium heat.
Prepare the shallots, garlic, cut into small pieces then puree using a little water.
Cut the tomatoes into small pieces, here I cut them into small pieces so that later the spices are better absorbed.
After all the ingredients have been prepared, sauté the spices in a little cooking oil, I used 2 tablespoons of oil.
Add bay leaves and lemongrass then add the tomato pieces.
Saute until fragrant and the water has reduced, then season with brown sugar.
Next, add salt, don't forget to adjust the taste if it's just right, add the tempeh. Stir everything until the spices are mixed perfectly.
Results
Tempeh with stir-fried Balinese spices is ready to be served, serve as a side dish for your dinner. The savory tempeh combined with Balinese spices makes this dish very tempting. Moreover, the addition of foliage in the form of orange leaves makes the aroma of orange leaves very strong. And this aroma is what makes me really like the tempe dish with Balinese spices.
