Thai Corn Salad

Corn is one of those ingredients that can be processed into anything, cakes, soups, and even often added to salads.




Hey vegan lovers, have you ever seen corn combined with salad in your home. Of course, this is often an ingredient that you never forget to add in salads, right?. This time I also took the initiative to add boiled corn in a salad. However, this salad is inspired by a Thai salad inspired by one of the recipes on social media.

The recipe was shared by one of the creators on social media yesterday. I was immediately interested and wanted to try it, the ingredients used were very simple. I made a local version by utilizing ingredients that are easy to find in my country. I think this is very fresh because the salad is very fitting and made from raw ingredients except for the corn which is boiled first. Curious about the recipe, let's see the recipe below!.




Ingredients Needed

1 corn
1 small carrot
1 tomato
1 tablespoon palm sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
3 red chili peppers
1 clove garlic
1 tablespoon lime juice
1 tablespoon tamarind




Preparation Procedure


Step 1


Peel the corn that has been boiled until it is finished, then mix it with the carrots that have been grated lengthwise.

Step 2


Also cut the chili, add it to the corn mix everything until it is evenly mixed.

Step 3


Cut the tomatoes into small pieces and then chop the garlic.

Step 4


Then add tomatoes and garlic to another container add palm sugar and salt don't forget to add tamarind, remove the seeds.

Step 5


Then chopper both until half smooth and not too rough.

Tara!!! My Thai corn salad is finished, I have never had a corn salad from that country before. I think this salad is a bit more sour than the salads I often enjoy before. It's great to be able to make corn salad that I used to enjoy simply with mayonnaise now I enjoy a healthier version with natural ingredients. Especially the tomato which makes it very delicious.

I was skeptical about the taste at first, but once it was finished it was amazing, the combination of carrot corn with a touch of fresh tomato seasoning made it a new blend of flavors for me. It was a perfect combination, but my husband said to add a little more sugar for a more delicious result. I listened to him adding a little more sugar uhh it was very fresh indeed.

If already in the chopper mix all the ingredients in one container then serve on a serving plate.
