El Manchester United se ha lamido las profundas heridas que dejó el 7-0 de Anfield por la Premier League el fin de semana y el pagano ha sido el Real Betis Balompié de Sevilla. El conjunto del Ingeniero Pellegrini ha terminado por pagar los platos rotos ante el Manchester United que ha probado ser un león herido, aún dolorido por las huellas que dejó aquella estrepitosa caída pero furibundo y con una inmensa sed de revancha que ha saciado ante el conjunto verdiblanco firmando una segunda mitad en la que pudieron cosechar una ventaja incluso más abultada.
El Betis se plantó en el Teatro de los Sueños con la quimera de competir de tú a tú al Manchester United de Erik ten Hag, los Béticos se ceñían a su esencia de competir contra toda lógica y, un poco también, a la pobre imagen competitiva que el Manchester United mostró el fin de semana en la Premier League, cayendo con estrépito ante el Liverpool de Klopp que -como el Betis- llegaba con la etiqueta del retador en turno ante un equipo que -hasta antes del domingo- bregaba con un 85% de efectividad en sus duelos disputados.
Aquella ensoñación Bética de poder competir en el Teatro de los Sueños terminó por ser una pesadilla de hondas proporciones, haciendo que los Béticos despertasen de golpe a la realidad para tener que ceñirse ahora a la esperanza de ejecutar una remontada de coyunturas históricas ante uno de los grandes de Europa y del fútbol Mundial (que vive una resurrección futbolística bastante importante) en la capital de la antigua Hispalis.

Volvía a casa el Manchester United tras la compleja experiencia del domingo en Anfield, y la afición del United dio un espaldarazo de aprecio y cariño a ten Hag y a todos los implicados en aquella escandalosa derrota sufrida a manos del acérrimo rival por la Premier. Lo único que cambió el entrenador neerlandés con respecto a Anfield fue el dibujo táctico de su equipo, todos los nombres de Anfield repitieron titularidad porque ten Hag también quería brindar respaldo, contención y confianza a sus muchachos que, además, han pagado con creces el gesto.
Quizá, Pellegrini y su Betis tenían presupuestado un inicio agresivo y electrizante por parte del United pero, por mucho que ello estuviera en el presupuesto, fue imposible contenerlo. 5 minutos de hostilidades y el contragolpe que buscaba gestar el United fue frenado con una falta, pero los jugadores verdiblancos no alcanzaron a reacomodarse en la transición defensiva pues el United reanudó de inmediato; movió Casemiro, recibió Rashford y descargó con Bruno para arrancar un pique electrizante hacia el área donde la Dios Fortuna le sirvió la pelota y él hizo el resto, recibió, contemporizó y fusiló a Claudio Bravo. 1-0 adelante el United con 5’ 22” en el reloj. 12 goles en contragolpes a velocidad son los que ha marcado el United en esta campaña, la mitad de ellos (6) llevan la rúbrica de Marcus Rashford. ¡Especialidad de la casa!

El Betis no se achantó con la desventaja en el marcador, ni siquiera porque Weghorst estuviera a punto de facturar el segundo en repetidas ocasiones para los de ten Hag, Pellegrini detectó el problema que representaba el United en las transiciones a la contra y buscó frenarlas del mejor modo que un equipo puede hacerlo, hilando fino en la posesión de la pelota; aunque el United no tenía ya los espacios para correr, siguió generando peligro y una constante presencia sobre el área de Claudio Bravo que sostenía a los suyos en grande manera. Al minuto 32’, el Betis que casi no se había plantado en el área de De Gea embocaría el gol del empate tras un sesudo pase de Juanmi para Ayoze Pérez y el ex de Newcastle firmaba la paridad en Old Trafford de cara al descanso, porque la suerte no quiso que el Betis castigase un grosero error de David De Gea y se salvaba el United.
Los verdiblancos fueron valientes en la primera parte y buscaron sostener ese corazón bravío con el que encaraban a un Diablo herido y con sed de una victoria que suavizara sus amarguras; la valentía no siempre alcanza en un deporte, como lo es el fútbol, que se decide por detalles; Luiz Henrique perdió la pelota y esta llegó a los pies de Antony que encaró a Abner, lo dejó pagando y ha vuelto a demostrar el peso y valor que tiene su pierna zurda. 2-1 marcaba Antony; uno de los grandes señalados de Anfield se resarcía.

Y si de señalados y redenciones hablamos, Burno Fernandes haría su aparición al minuto 58’ para convertir las críticas que recibió tras la debacle del pasado domingo en halagos. Nadie en el Betis le marcaba, Luke Shaw se dio cuenta de ello y tiró la pelota justo al movimiento del mediocentro luso que remató con un testarazo que, lejos está de ser su especialidad, se anidó en las redes Béticas para decretar el 3-1 que dejaba grogui al valiente equipo sevillano.
El tercero del United fue un mazazo que aturdió al Betis a tal grado que en el cuadro andaluz reinaba el caos, Bruno se hizo con las riendas del encuentro y el Unietd apestaba a peligro cada que deambulaba pot el frente de ataque, pero no fue sino hasta el 82’ cuando con tan solo unos segundos en la cancha Pellistri (que entró por Antony) y McTominay (que suplió a Fred) sembraron el pánico en el área Bética para que Weghorst anotase su primer gol ante Stretford End. 4-1 los ganaba el United que bien pudo embocar otros 3 más.
Los de ten Hag salieron en plan ardiente buscando que el Betis pagase los platos rotos del domingo en Anfield, el United hervía en medio de una gélida noche invernal en la que ni siquiera la nieve que caía sobre Old Trafford les pudo enfriar. 15 partidos en casa anotado dos o más goles, desenfreno ofensivo absoluto. Los Red Devils son el único equipo en las 5 grandes ligas en sumar 31 victorias en todas las competiciones en lo que va de campaña, 4 más que Barcelona, Napoli, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain y Manchester City que le siguen con 27 conquistas. ¡Anfield fue solo un complejo accidente! ¡El United sigue vivo, más vivo que nunca!

The Red Devils are the only team in the big 5 leagues to have 31 wins in all competitions so far this season, 4 more than Barcelona, Napoli, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City who follow with 27 wins. Anfield was just a complex accident! United are still alive, more alive than ever!

Los Diablos han hecho un gran partido en líneas generales, más allá de un par de desatenciones; su segundo tiempo ha sido electrizante y si no cayeron más goles ha sido por Claudio Bravo que soportó bastante bajo sus tres palos. Gran victoria para el United, sobre todo en el aspecto anímico.

Lo del Manu es de Locos, un partido interesante ya que el Betis también tenía sus armas, pero en la segunda parte los Diablos rojos salieron con todas las armas cargadas y todas le salían, estará muy complicados para los Beticos el siguiente partido, creo que ya está sentenciada la eliminatoria

En efecto, amigo mío, levantarte de una varapalo como el sufrido por los de ten Hag el fin de semana pasado para arrollar de tal forma a un equipo como el Betis que no es precisamente un conjunto fácil de atacar... es maravilloso. Sí, cualquier viso de remontada en el Villamarín es complejo para el Bétis.
