WRITING PROMPT 1: THE BEST THING THAT HAPPENED TO ME LAST YEAR!!!

The difference between January 1st 2023 and January 1st 2022 goes a long way, if not for hardwork, determination and courage and most importantly GOD, I know what I would have been doing by now to support my survival on daily basis, I have many friends in the outside world who in one way or the other has tried to lure me into what they do for survival but because I had good upbringings and integrity I was able to fight of those temptations and at the end of the day my effort was crowned and what was the crown 👑👑 I got for my resilience and perseverance??
it was THE HIVE BLOCKCHAIN...

I quitted my offline job December 29th 2021 to prepare for my upcoming examination, oh yeah I worked for good 8 months under scorching sun and heavy rain just to save up for that exam and finally it came knocking on my door and I had to quit working to study hard for the exams because it was an external examination and I needed to be equipped academically before I can pass it...

I sponsored my lesson fees and jamb fees myself because I have saved up for it and after months I did my JAMB and I passed with an average score which was very good but not excellent...

As a normal teenager I planned to get another job after my exams and from there I will start working towards my admission into higher institution...

Before our external examination, I noticed a new face in my tutorial and judging from the look of it, he was an external candidate and I guess he only came to take the jamb lesson and nothing more...

I saw him the next day and this time we were taking the same class which was physics and after my investigation I realized he and some of my friends met at the jamb registration center and they suggested our tutorial to him...

After finding out how came to my tutorial, I can't remember how it happened but we literally ended up sitting together for a particular class and from there we started talking and guess what??...

We clicked so well, he was introvert and I was an extrovert, after about two - three encounters we became friends and we started talking and gisting like normal friends, we started working mathematics and physics equations together and one day he sat me down and asked me some questions, this was the conversation we had;

Faruq : seyi, I don't know if you can write???

Me : do you mean story writing or what??

Faruq : yes! I meant something like that but in a more advanced manner...

Me : Yes of course I was a storybook writer in my highschool days and I stopped because there wasn't time anymore...

Faruq : okay, I want to introduce you to a platform where you can make some money to survive on daily basis, are you ready??

Me : I said yes I am ready and that was how my journey on the hive blockchain started...

Most of my audience would have grasped who the first speaker is judging from what the details of the conversation was Lol 🤣😂, the first speaker is my mentor, onboarder, friend, older brother @burlarj...

That was the conversation he and I had after getting to know each for some days and first thing first he taught me the basics with his laptop...

I didn't know how type on a laptop and he took time to teach me everything within two weeks and I started grasping everything and from there he started giving daily assignments of making one post daily, making atleast 10 comments daily, and joining different communities...

I started off by drafting in a book before typing on hive draft because back then my motivation was from pen and paper not the screen, so it was easy writing everything I wanted to post down and because it was my initial talent, it wasn't hard for me to adapt and that was how my greatness and achievements started...

The day I made my introduction post was the day my life changed for the better and I started living in comfort and convenience...

The first 2 months of my stay on the blockchain was filled with thorough preparation and further training and in no time I started getting a hold of it and he started leaving me to work on my own and watching me from afar...

April 7 2022 was the best day for me in the year 2022, it was on that same day I was introduced to the hive blockchain and after understanding the rules and regulations guarding the platform, I started making impact everywhere I go and I started joining communities to improve and gain my stand the more and it was at this moment my mentor introduced me to the neoxian city...

The place where I found family figures, I was welcomed with open arms and in no time I became a family member...

Talking about the best thing that happened to me in the year 2022, judging from my introduction and body, it is very obvious that joining the hive blockchain and the neoxian city is the best thing that happened to me last year...

If not for hive, where would I have been today Lol, I will probably be under the sun collect my daily loans and at the end of the month I get paid my salary but ever since I joined hive, everything about me has changed and I mean literally everything about me including my sense of reasoning...

In summary, my encounter with Burl 9 months ago made me who I am today and it's all thanks to God, he literally saw my heart and crowned my effort by sending me eagle and from zero I am now a HERO...

I am happy I found the blockchain 9 months ago and from zero HP i now have 2000 HP in 9 months thanks to the neoxian city, hivelearners, my friends and many other communities...

In conclusion, this is my response to the neoxian city prompt #1 and many thanks to @momogrow for the initiative and time, I really enjoyed writing on this as it brought back beautiful old memories...
