I wished I had stayed back
I don't like traveling, which is why I don't go with the rest of the family to functions that involve traveling. Traveling makes me stressed out and weak, and this I don't like, but there are times I have no choice but to succumb to their request and follow them, and this was what happened in this case. It's the festive period—Christmas to be precise—and my father suggested we travel to my hometown to celebrate with my grandparents (paternal side). Immediately he said that my countenance changed because he knew I never liked traveling and asked, "Why will he suggest that?" I murmured to myself.
As we set out on our journey, after some minutes I started feeling uncomfortable and suddenly weak, and I was wondering how bad it could be. Thirty minutes into the journey, I started feeling nauseated, and this became so bad that my father had to park the car for a while for me to vomit. This repeats itself over and over again, and it makes the journey longer than expected. One of the reasons I dislike traveling, especially by road, is the odor of the fuel, which irritates my gut. Before we could reach our destination, which later took about two hours and some minutes because of the stopovers, I started feeling feverish.
Looking so tense and weak after I'd puked all the food I ate in the morning before we set out for the journey, the first thing I wanted to do was rest. Finally, we got to my hometown, where other family members arrived. My uncle, who was a pharmacist, was shocked to see me looking so weak with a hot temperature. He volunteered to get me treated as fast as possible to enjoy Christmas. "All I needed now was rest," he said because his treatment always comes with an injection, which I dislike so much. That's why I quickly responded with that so that he could take his mind off treatment.
By the evening, it took a bad turn as I began to shiver, with my body hot like a burning fire. I lost my taste buds, and even water tasted bitter. I was having a terrible headache and general body fatigue. While on the sick bed, I can hear other family members cheering and having fun with the different delicacies being served, but it's such a shame I couldn't eat them all because I've lost my appetite. Toward the end of our two-week vacation to my hometown, I started feeling much better after a series of injections and drugs after almost all the delicious food and meats had been consumed. I was so annoyed with myself for not being able to eat all the cooked food for Christmas, and I murmured "This is the worst vacation for me ever; how could I fall sick ".
On the day we will be leaving my hometown back to our residence, I was praying not to experience what I experienced while coming; it wasn't nice at all, and my butt hurts from the injections, which will take a while for me to get through. After getting to our destination, I completed my drugs and was back to my normal self. I couldn't eat much for Christmas, but I did for the New Year's celebration, and I had it to the fullest. Feel free to call me a foodie; I gladly accept.

Thanks for your time and your comments will be appreciated.

Oh....so sorry about that, it was really bad for you. You practically went to the village to get treated. Glad you recuperated though
Thanks, sir
A lot of people get motion sickness while traveling on the road. To some, it disappears just as they alight from the vehicle, to some it lingers for few days. I am sorry you had such bad experience when you suppose to be having a great time with your family members
Glad you enjoyed new year celebration to the fullest
I don't know how to overcome that, going out within the state sef it's somehow difficult for me
This was indeed a horrible vacation. Being sick when with family and friends who are celebrating and enjoying - must be the worst feeling. It is wonderful to hear that you were fully recovered and could enjoy the New Year’s celebration.
