My experience using Yodin Zaku

At the end of last season I had the experience of trying out the fearsome Summoner Yodin Zaku, since I started playing Splinterlands I still hadn't rented any Legendary Summoners and managed to reach the Silver League with my cards.
The strength of my cards allows me to play in the Silver League without having to rent cards, and I manage to reach 2200 rank in the season, and this time I wanted to try using Legendary Summoners to test my cards and how far I could get in rank.

I managed to reach rank 2684 using Legendary Summoners and it's very fascinating to be able to use Summoners so strong that they make a lot of difference in battles.

But I came across a problem that makes a lot of difference in battles, in Silver League the summoner limit allows playing with level 5 common cards, level 4 rare cards, level 3 epic and level 2 legendary cards.

Using Legendary Summoner at level 1 allows playing with card levels (3-2-2-1) and it doesn't make much difference the level (1-1-1-1) to (3-2-2-1) normally the level increases health points, but from level (3-2-2-1) to (5-4-3-2) there is a lot of difference in the cards, because they gain new abilities and the Legendary cards become much stronger .

In this example Djinn Oshannus at level 2 in addition to gaining +1 health point, gains Phase ability, in which magic attacks can miss the target.

It means that if I in the Silver League use Djinn Oshannus at level 1 and the opponent uses the same card at level 2, I will lose the battle, because while the opponent always hits his attacks, some of my attacks will miss the target.

In this example, Kratos at level 2 gains Heal ability.
By the same principle, me using Kratos in the Silver League at level 1 against an opponent who uses Kratos at level 2, I lost the battle, because while the opponent's card has the ability to heal, my card can't compete against it.

By this I mean that while walking at rank 2200 I didn't pick up very strong opponents, but as I increased in rank, the opponents were very strong because they had the most evolved cards and better chances of winning battles.

The difficulty increases but it is much more fascinating to compete against stronger players, even if in the Silver League using Level 1 Legendary Summoner the chance of winning a battle goes to 30%, it is possible to eliminate Level 2 Legendary Summoners with more evolved cards

In this battle my opponent chose Mimosa Nightshade level 2 and can combine level cards (5-4-3-2) while my Yodin level 1 can combine level cards (3-2-2-1)

I chose the Yodin Summoner because I thought it was interesting for monsters to have Blast ability, and it is of great value to combine Yodin with monsters with Snipe ability, because having Blast they create damage to adjacent monsters, that means that with one attack we can damage three monsters and that it's very exciting in battle.

A very complicated battle because the opponent has more evolved monsters and the Mimosa Summoner damages the Buff of my Yodin Summoner, but due to the effect of the Blast combined with Snipe I managed to win the battle, eliminating the opponent's team before being eliminated.

In this battle my opponent chose General Sloan level 3 and can combine level cards (4-3-2-2) while my Yodin level 1 can combine level cards (3-2-2-1)

Very difficult battle when the opponent has two Legendary cards at level 2, creating a huge advantage, Uriel at level 2 gets Heal skill, and Adelade at level 2 gets Resurrect skill, which restores the first monster to be eliminated, further complicating the battle .

In this battle Yodin was not intimidated and again Blast skill combined with Snipe creates huge advantage in battle, which allowed me to win the battle.

Hard battle and Yodin works miracles.

It's a fantastic feeling when we can win battles against opponents that have stronger monsters.
I'm used to fighting with my cards at level 1 and now being able to use Yodin and combine my cards is very exciting, an experience that I'm really enjoying, and enjoying while I've been renting it.

And to end the battles, nothing more than Yodin vs Yodin to have those who give up

In this battle the Range and Magic attack cards had Snipe ability, so I didn't have to worry about choosing cards with Snipe ability but trying to protect my positions.
And in that sense I chose Molten Ash Golem with Range attack in second position to protect Snipe attacks, having good health points to hold up in battle, and then Lava Launcher with good Range attack and good armor could survive Blast attacks.

Djinn Inferni with Magic attack was not affected in its attack by cards with Shield ability or with Armor going directly to the opponent's Health points if it had no monsters with Void Armor ability.

Ferexia General important card for Blast ending with Cornealus in last position to survive Sneak attacks and cause attack.

screenshot_7.jpg

My opponent chose an identical strategy with Range attack cards making the battle quite complicated, as we would both Blast adjacent monsters.

The speed of the monsters was identical so it was a very balanced battle, what made the difference in the battle was that I chose Grum that allowed me to apply Bloodlust and the opponent chose Tenyii Striker with Melee attack and Sneak ability, having Blast only deal damage to the previous monster, which in this case did not take full advantage of Yodin, in which it took more advantage to have chosen monsters with Magic or Range attack since both had Snipe ability and could Blast adjacent monsters.

Better for me that I managed to win the battle, in these battles a slightest detail or mistake makes all the difference in the battle.

Despite being very complicated to fight against more evolved monsters, I still don't have the ability to reach that level but I really enjoyed the experience of using Yodin in my battles and being able to compete against strong players.

After playing level 1 summoners, going to level 2 ones or even legendary level 1 ones, the game starts to take a totally different dimension because upgrading cards becomes a reality. That's so much more fun :-)
