Weekly-ish Running Update - End of Base!

So I've reached the final week of my base phase, and into my build phase, so my running has changed a little - I've convinced Claude to let me run the Park Run every week as a tempo run, and one Octopus session a week, still quite light, that, and two easy runs...

Thursday very easy

I'm not even sure why Claude recommended a very easy run, but this was it - a literal school run - I ran to school (via the park) to do pick up!

Saturday Park Run

So much more natural than plodding around slowly, and a lot easier than hammering it!

NB - this is still slower than I would have liked, but the crucial thing is I hit my HR target bang on!

Monday easy...

As usual the goal here is HR - I'm getting into making this easier and easier, but it does require the odd walking break!

Tuesday Octopus...

Note - I did a school literal run just before this, of around 500M probably running and then the rest walking...

So an easy 3.5K and then some intervals, still onlyb 4*300 - NB a bit too easy, but that's OK for now!

Next weeks plans...

You have done really well, holding the low heart rate zone, it took me like 6 months to adapt and feel comfortable running slow. I remember doing 6 parkruns very slow luckily, we were on holidays so none of my local crew could see me struggle.
