Weekly ish Running Update: Three Good Runs!

I did my standard three runs again this week...

• Sunday - 10+K longish run
• Tuesday - standard 5K holding run
• Friday - intervals.

This is as about as regular as it gets, and I'm happy that it's now both warmer and lighter. It would seem spring is here!

Sunday's long run...

I headed out along my usual route, and then decided to run the second half of the loop the other way round to usual, which added in a nice bit of variance. I kind of did this to force me into doing a longer route...

I got overtaken half way around going up hill by a woman at least half my age. She then ran along the same route as me and I returned the favour 3Ks down the road as I was coming to the end of my run.

I felt like a bit of a twat doing this, but this is how I normally run, slow at first, and then up the pace for the final 2K!

I managed 11K plus a final 400 metre sprint!

Tuesday's standard 5K...

I took this easy for the first 4K and then upped the pace for the final KM, you can see it in the red below....

I didn't feel like a fast one, so no prizes for this, but I was happy with around 4.13 for the final K!

Friday's intervals...

I opted for something a bit different than usual... I did

• 1K
• 800 metres
• 600 metres
• 400 metres.

I took the first couple relatively easy, and then really upped it for the final 400, I was feeling it by the end.

Maybe next week I'll add on another 200, but that wasn't for today!
